I can't belief KFP2 did $92 million back in 2011 this should do $300 million minimum in China this time then.

People where at the time quiet a few disappointed with TDKR run expected a few hundred million more.

Avengers 2 will struggle to make $250m in China, why this would make $250m there?
Is it massively popular there or something maybe?

Fantasy films have been underperforming. I say 250M max.
I agree and is not as bigger name as the Hobbit despite popularity $325 mil.

either way sw7 will be huge in the UK Star wars always is could even beat bond for the year!Its not possible. It would have been possible when the exchange rate was better back in 2007/8. Now £60m, which is a reasonable expectation for SW7, would only be $95m.

There was 5m more to the week for OS than I expected. Japan was under reported by that much on the previous OS list. Maybe it was that. Otherwise there were great holds all around for the weekend
Japan down 29% at 875k. with its large weekdays and old school legs it could add 3-3,5m, up to 4x this weekend
Dom down 33% at 3.6m. it should hold well for a 3rd consecutive week with memorial day coming up. 10.8m at 3x
OS-CJ down 42% at 5.7m. 11.4m or more expected at 2x+ this weekend
1.514B is likely unless one of these 3 fall out of bed. However;
OS could prove to be leggier than I expect to get it closer to TA1s 1.517B
Universal will push it at the end by expanding it wide again for one last weekend with a lot of ads and/or if it can get IMAX screens
and then there is my favorite sweet, Fudge!
For these reasons I must say:
TA1 #3 WW IS GOING DOWN!!
Not locked but Universal will defo try there hardest to fudge it over lol!

It is a great run back to back almost 1.5 billion fo Avengers is fantastic! FF7 had a freakiest run due to PW death and having a free run for a month!If f7 did not release I think Aou run would be seen with less negativity.
People think if a film like fast 7 can do so well aou should do better ww
However in retrospect fast 7 has far more mainstream buzz.

1) Does Avengers have a good chance at 1.55 billion?
2) Will that be enough to beat F7?
1) Yes a chance if it hold's well from here and explodes big in China.
2) Yes FF7 should be at around $1.5 billion at the end of it's run so $1.55 billion would be enough.

So it did $11.2m in markets outside China and its cume is $740m. Weekdays seem pretty strong, $12.8m to be precise, no doubt boosted by Golden week in Japan.
I think it will gross another 22-24m from here and finish with precisely 1.150B. DOM also looks to hit 350M, so it should be reach 1.5B mark.
Not bad. NOT BAD AT ALL!!
$1.5 billion insane we could have three films over that mark this year if we are lucky what an epic year!

this weekend furious 7 was hit hard bcos last weekend was a holiday weekend. its still playing in all big markets plus few leggy markets in LA. I am sure its making 1.15B OS. China will add couple of million tomorrow and it needs < 20m to reach there. Will do that over next month. But I doubt its beating Avengers 1 WW.
But barring AOU having crazy legs in China, Furious 7 will win not just OS but also WW. That would be absolutely crazy. I all along thought Avengers will win the year WW. Now furious 7 is going to win the year. I am among those who do not believe SW brand is strong enough in expanding markets to compete with furious 7 or Avengers.
SW7 if good and breakout's it can win the year ww easily. I think with TA2 relative underperformance dom it has a strong chance of winning the dom crown this year as well as the ww crown the hype is huge so far. Still think TA 2 could edge FF7 ww thou.

I think that's a good number. You have to keep in mind it's only playing in 55% of overseas markets. TA1 made $207m for the weekend in North America and $18.9m on Monday. TA2 overseas just made $200m for the weekend and $18m on Monday. Seems pretty good to me.
$18 million in one day on a Monday is good just the way he put it seemed not so good lol!

Noway is $1.4 billion a disappointment was realistically bound to drop considering the first was so huge and FF7 run has also made people totally unrealistic.
