Around 960m IMO.
I agree roughly this I think Avengers will do over a billion os more hoping as i'd love to see another film pass a billion or maybe even two with FF7 and SW7.

Yeh Avenger will be huge of course so won't make much against that.

Technically it will play for 30 days i.e. till May 11, but how many screens it is able to retain every week would be the more pertinent question affecting its gross.
So a month or so I thought it would be that long as don't most movies from hollywood play that long in China?

Will beat every movie cept for Avengers, and the Cameron titans.
I would not count out Star wars yet if good and well marketed could break record's everywhere as it is Star wars.

Will make 40 to 50 mil in china a pretty standard increase is it not considering the continued massive growth of the market in China.

If you told people in October it would take this long to reach that figure and would be seen as a good number they would of laugh most though 800 mil and some even 900mi. So has taken a step back for me.

Always find those types of arguments puzzling. People on a global scale just decided on a whim to go the theater less often this year? No. It is the movies that people haven't found as appealing, simple as that. All movies could have flopped - doesn't mean anything for Hobbit or any other movie, as far as their box office prospects go.

this is performing more like a standard blockbuster overseas than the extremely leggy blockbuster it is doing in the US. Which makes perfect sense. I am not sure why domestic audiences are giving it such amazing legs, over any of the Potter movies.
Hard to know as this movie was not particularly well received and is considered fairly boring.

Apart from Transformers not had a great year OS a few big hit's but only Transformers has done huge money so not that surprised this is struggling.

wont do even 20m in China apparently let alone 30n and 410m from current markets is ambitious. Shocking really this franchise has stagnated completly mj2 may struggle to outgross cf ww IMO.Could it still do 750m? Another 17m from current markets for 380m, 30m from china for 410m, and 340m domestic.
