When all is said and done, NWH will definitely get to 7th and potentially as high as 4th.
1B overseas would require a huge Japan overperformance wouldn't it?

Spider-Man: 609.8m
Bleak.
No Time To Die could have a chance tbh. A small one, but still a chance
-
So how are the chances of it crossing Jurassic World now?
-
Damn is a Spider-Man movie actually going to end up in the top 10 U.K movies of all time?

Highest grossing solo superhero movie

Doesn't it make sense for Dune to get nominated for Best Picture to fill in that "blockbuster" slot though? I really can't see NWH getting it since it relies so much on previous Spider-Man movie knowledge, despite its unbelievable success.

Xmas and New Year occuring in both 2 weekends (2 Eve on both Friday, combining with the factor people want to spend time for family and friends more than go outside for cinema after 2 years of Covid) is nothing different from disaster, even weaker than normal weekends without holiday boost. And the result is that the total gross of 2 holiday weeks may not much different from 2 normal weeks.
Is this you dooming, I can't tell

I do want to see 1B in China to make the CCP freak out though
-
Actually for solo superhero movies, will NWH end up with the most tickets sold?

Which domestic run was more impressive, No Way Home or Black Panther?
Considering NWH is going to end up above Black Panther, I would say NWH. Plus you know, the pandemic

Whats a more impressive achievement domestically: Titanic or NWH during a pandemic?
It's obviously Titanic, come on now. Maybe a better question would be what would it take for NWH's total run WW to be more impressive than TFA/IW?

Rest : $55M
Total : $349M
Asia :
South Korea : $64M
Japan : $40M
India : $38M
Russia : $35M
Thailand + Philippines : $30M
Indonesia : $24M
Taiwan : $17M
Hong Kong : $16M
Malaysia : $15M
Singapore : $7M
Vietnam : $5M
Total : $291M

Rest : $75M
Total : $224M
OS = $983M
+ $730M
= $1713M
Will be very tight between JW, TLK and NWH
You really see the OS gross that close 1 billion? Would be awesome but seems too optimistic don't you think?
-
NWH is doing really well in Europe for a superhero film, isn't it? Wonder why that is
-
NWH under Avatar's DOM gross but over JW worldwide would be such a tease but I'd totally take that
-
Dang Joker/Endgame did really good for a comic book movie
-
I get Scott's frustration but it's still funny to see him go off at everyone for the movie flopping
-
So 700M-750M as a final DOM total for NWH?

-
Eh forget NWH in China, its run will end up looking more impressive without that

China doesn't even have a release date, and no country shows to be doing any kind of unexpected performance at this point. Like I said, TLK or JW is still doable but it's getting harder.
You think 1.6B is still in the cards? Would need at least 700M DOM for that unless OS overperforms right?

Deadline seems to be assuming a 1.75B WW and 750M DOM finish which is quite a stretch

23-24 definitely puts NWH on pace to beat avatar
Let's not get hasty now, isn't it crossing 700M still up in the air?
