They are likely slightly inflated since I counted so late. The underperformance of Jungle Cruise here is showing. Didn't expect it to do this well. The Regal theaters ended up performing really well which is largely the reason for this boost. I know Porthos has some Regal theaters, so we'll see if there's a similar trend there. Not sure about anyone else. F9 is the obvious outlier here, especially with me counting that an hour early. So I'll just ignore that comp. A Quiet Place also seems a little high, but that isn't surprising to me because I don't expect the late walkups to be as strong as it. The Black Widow comp is pretty encouraging to me for 4M previews, but I'll play on the safe side of my comps and go with 3.8M. Which seems like it'll be on the high end of most people here.

    I don’t think we need separate threads. There needs to be some clarification on what’s allowed to be discussed in here and what should be discussed in the reopening thread. The reopening thread should naturally evolve into discussion about the vaccine passports, consumer confidence in being in theaters, delays, and even how streaming impacts all that. The movie threads should be discussing the general buzz and feelings about how a movie will do. Obviously this is still the buzz thread, along with the tracking thread, so there should still be discussion about it. That’s something that we can discuss with numbers. YT views, Twitter views, reviews, Audience scores, Cinemascores. But the discussion around that should be more about the numbers themselves and how they compare to similar movies. The discussion around vaccine passports, streaming, and all that jazz should be very limited here and really only relating to if we can clearly see a hit in numbers from that. Free Guy is a movie I expect to see a lot of discussion around day and date. Hopefully it won’t get too bad, but that kind of discussion belongs mostly out of here. Anyways, I vomited onto the screen here. Just my opinion in all this

But the comps for Megaplex/Utah are useless anyways. Clearly underperforming here.

Would've liked to have seen something like 185 today. I don't think 4M is possible anymore. It would need to have a last day better than what F9 had(went 1.87x), and I counted that an hour early. And in the comparable theaters, it would have to more than double to at least match Hobbs and BoP.

Whether or not it can do 4M depends how much it ramps up. BW went 1.82x from here, F9 2.29x, AQP2 2.34x, and Hobbs 3.26x(in comparable theaters with 650 tickets). Should do better than Black Widow, highly doubt it'll get close to Hobbs. We'll see how it fares against F9 and AQP2.

They removed 13 seats sold, and something like 600 seats available. T-4 days Friday: 222(+41)/18883(+729) in 12 theaters Black Widow comp: 1.78M F9 comp: 3.41M Same story here. They removed 8 seats sold and about 1400 seats available.

    Depends what your expectations of a breakout are. BOP has an OW range of 8-18M. Pretty wide range but seems right to me.
