I almost skipped Eternals because of RT and went with the lowest expectations. Guess what? it is in the upper tier of MCU for me. It has its flows but it is a solid entertaining movie. I dont understand how some  lower tier MCU movies having an +80% RT and Eternals at 50%!!?

I will never trust RT again. Besides artsy movies; RT is so biased.

Will have my second viewing on Sunday.

i dont get it ether, more than half of the MCU movies should be rotten.

  2. German reviews are fine overall, i think overall they score it better than its right now on metacritic. But like overall the same pros/cons like the most other reviews i saw. One reviewer i saw calling it the best phase four movie, which is the highest praise it god, most reviewers are ether saying its flawed but has some good moments or its a good movie but you may not enjoy it.

  3. Why are people jumping to interstellar like its the underdog story. RT 72% and made 190m(?) domestically, Venom has 30% and made more, none of the transfomers movies are fresh and most of them made more than Interstellar, this are the movies which shown that audience win against critic opinions.

In general, if a movie's total gross >2.5 of its cost, then it will start to gain profit?

    >2x or >2.5x ??

2,5x is the thumb rule, something less without china release

  4. Watched it today - i liked the first movie so it was nearly a given that i would enjoy that one too. Many things work in this movie, the bromance, the "idea" of the plot, the action like the way carnage moves is pretty nice. Though it also has some lower lows, like Eddys journalistic work seems to be so irrelevant but also feels like sideplot which was dropped, the last dialogue with cletus and the big "they are one" moment just needed something more, not even a minute more screentime but one two rewrites, i think despite the short runtime most of the buildup was there just not used good enough in the end. Except the journalistic thing that cletus also mentions in the end, that Eddy didnt do his job and so on, this needed to be reworked on several points of the movie. Endings are important to me, so that it has this lows in the end, soars the movie in several ways.

Also my theater in germany was pretty much full still with corona restrictions though and despite the movie being over a month old, the post-credits scene took many people by surprise.

Cars 3 is the most forgotten film IMO

I would say monster university. Cars 3 is atleast remembered as being the better sequel than Cars 2. Monster university is not remembered for being bad or good, most of its strong points were better in its predecessor and with the setting of an university, its not like there is something remarkable about it. With it also being a prequel, it doesnt really matter anyway, a good sequel could elevate a franchise, a bad sequel kill it, a prequel does mostly just nothing.
