  1. Bond treating women like shit makes perfect sense. Having him develop feelings for female love interests goes against everything a spy of that caliber would do.  They are trained to remove all emotion as the moment you fall in love, all logic and devotion to the brutal career choice you've made goes out the window. He's not meant to be nice, he will manipulate to get the information he needs to get. Casino royale's romantic plot is the only one that's ever worked for me as it felt like a reboot. It was a new bond who had flaws and wasn't as emotionally blank as he thought he was. That vulnerability ultimately led to his failure and emotional heartbreak. By the end of the movie the one lesson he learnt was to trust no-one. Having him for in love again makes no sense

Cope? Lol. I never said it was in the “same box as them” just said I love all 3 and I’m glad they all got wide releases regardless of their weirdness. They’re not very “general public”.

Where are you getting the idea that the vast majority of the people who saw it have forgotten about it?

It's just never mentioned. Had a lot of hype at the time which died off very fast after it's opening.

Hmm I disagree here. I seen it on many top 10 lists. Especially from the horror community. Invisible Man will be lucky to do even half of Us.

Ooof, I remember you had a thing about this film when it came out 😂. Show us where Ari Aster touched you.

I’m loving that films like Us, Hereditary and Midsommar are getting wide releases and the mainstream minds can’t cope lol

Sorry but being on a few top 10 lists doesn't mean the majority of the public didn't forget about it. It's WOM wasn't great, that can't be argued

THIS! I remember most of people having US locked for $200m after that OW, but the WOM was mixed at best, thanks to that divisive ending.

I really hope TIM won't face the same fate.

It made the mistake of putting its message before the actual story. Yes it was a clever message it was trying to say but it came at a cost, it made the movie beyond dumb. Millions of americans living underground and not one maintenance worker ever went down and saw what was going on? Audiences aren't thick, they were never buying that absurdity. It was actually quite insulting

You posted in the Mulan thread about Tyson Fury, even though we told you to post in this thread, or in the boxing thread in the sports section. Why would you post in the Mulan thread?

    Oh 😂

Then my bad I thought I was here. Honest mistake. Fuck Mulan

    Checkmate NDT

Why am i getting points for posting about boxing in this thread? I was told to either post here or create a thread and now ive had more warning points? Whats the deal?

  7. Ali was only considered the greatest because of everything he did outside the ring. Fury is doing the same by raising awareness on mental health. He's pretty much locked for sports personality of the year.

Put them both in a ring during their primes and it wouldn't be fair. Fury is 6 inches taller and fights 4 stone heavier. Its likely that Ali today would be a cruiserweight, not a heavyweight.

Fury He spent his career being underestimated only to toy with Klitschko who is one of the greats. Its not even like he struggled. He then fell into depression with drugs only to announce his return, lose 10 stone, be denied victory for the greatest comeback fight in decades (american judges for you) then returns and knocks out an actual knockout artist. It was a complete one sided domination and a big 'fuck you' to american corruption within the sport. The guy has been an entertainer in the most humble way.

If he deals with AJ as swiftly as he has everyone else then it really cant be denied that he's the greatest heavyweight theres been. Ali lost 5 of his fights and struggled against taller opponents. Fury would simply have been too much for him.

As for old school fighters, like all greats they are only truly recognised as GOAT's long after their time. There's more science and skill in boxing today rather than old school rocky like fights.  20 years from now if Fury keeps this up he will be hailed as the GOAT.

Regardless Fury's is a true underdog story and i'll expect their to be movies about him in the future

Agreed, especially after Birds of Prey.

People need to stop taking BOP as a reason NOT to make an R rated CBM. It worked for Logan, it worked for Deadpool, it will work for others. Just accept the face no-one cared about watching a Harley Quinn movie regardless of its rating. Its getting embarrassing now

Cool. That's why we're trying to stop it.

Citizen Kane's one of the most famous movies of all time. Even people who haven't seen it know what Rosebud's all about, have seen it parodied in cartoons and junk. Be quiet boomer.

Most people haven't even heard of Citizen Kane. Its a boomers movie lol. I doubt even 1% of moviegoers understand what Rosebud is all about
