What👏 about👏 the second👏 trailer 👏
June...

And it's just pointless. What? People take 4 months to watch a trailer? No.
3 months is perfect gap to put 2 trailers, some spots get the early press WOM rolling. The more concentrated, the better it rolls for the movie imo. It's fresh. Feels recent. And we live in times where we are bombarded by media everyday.

10 bucks trailer releasea Monday.
With studios understanding how irrelevant it is to release trailers soon, I think Disney got it and we will see the trailer 3 months before the movie, which I think it's the perfect window TODAY. And I think this might be the new norm for a franchise like MCU, which has already a big following and is extremely well established. And 3 months is a perfect gap.
Now, movies like Avatar 2, the Disney live actions... sooner. They need more time imo. More time for promotion I guess. Specially Avatar. It's been 13 years.
Ladies and gentlemen, the trailer will release Monday, April 4th.

I know you freak out whenever the MCU is dissed but they were clearly quoting something that mentioned Eternals first and wasn't mentioned on their own free will, so this isn't quote the gotcha you think it is

This is a box office forum. We make fun of movies here, we analyse their runs, we predict the future of franchises and we talk about our reasons for liking or not liking certain movies.
What we DONT do here is actively rooting for movies to fail, since that is just not very nice. Making fun of bad numbers? Yes, absolutely. Laughing at pathetic holds and legs? Of course. But rooting for failure has proven time and time again to poison the well and leading to nothin but heated debates.
And what we also DONT do here is aggressively downplaying other peoples' movie taste. Discussions about movie tastes, even passionate ones, are totally fine. Direct attacks not so much. It comes across as beeing arrogant and just ... not nice.
I'm arrogant and not nice.

Make me. I know you like these garbages making money but I don't.

Even if this makes 200M something, Yes it breaks even, but as a Marvel shows VERY small appeal, low interest and just how bad it was.
I don't make a sequel to a Marvel movie that makes 200-299M WW. If it crashes like I think it will with Sonic and Ambulance coming.
-
If this doesn't flop idk what will. Sony needs to be stopped. Idk what is the Army waiting for to intervene this attack to our eyes.
The thing is. This movie will make enough in terms of it's budget. But as a Marvel movie, it's going to do very little numbers

Is it safe to say Morbius will land between 38M-42M?

Probably low 40s.

I have a strong feeling Morbius will make a lot of people eat their words like Uncharted did
Unfortunately... yeah. Hope it flops tho.

Do you see the eye at the top of the dashboard? You click on that, and you get a spoiler box. Type the spoiler stuff in said box, then you're golden
Thank you

Discussing/Mentioning possible spoilers and leaks about a movie that hasnt come out yet or just came out can only happen behind spoiler bars. You risk getting warning points from the mods if you dont do that.
How do I do that?

Kraven has a trailer already?
That's my prediction based on Venom movies and now Morbius.
What I meant is, Kraven already feels like another Sony poor machine movie.
A movie that has a mediocre team behind it (which already has), a big star in front of it (which already has), I will bet it doesn't cost more than 90M and that it will be noticeable in trailers like it was with Venom movies and Morbius now.
Kraven is already filming.

I just wached it. Very very mediocre. Feels rushed and plot is icethin. Villan is weak.
This will not have good legs.
4/10
2 midcredits were worth the ticketprice though
SpoilerAre they worth?
I saw the mid credits online (they leaked) and found it awful. Just a feeling of rush and desperation of trying to build a Sinister Six teamup to fight Spider-Man because yes. Morbius doesn't even know Spider-Man and he accepts it. Vulture gets to that place and has a suit ready to go.
Avengers is amazing because it was built through good movies. Took their time to build these characters. Makes us care. Make us like them. Make us feel interested.
Morbius just looks awful like you say it is. I have no desire to see it. I disliked the Venom movies. A lot. Just the fact that they took this...without logic and cheap route and put Vulture in that universe, just makes my eyes roll. Like, really? You put Vulture there (which alone contradicts a lotta stuff in itself) and he instantly gets a suit, finds Morbius, already knows him and wants to go after Spider-Man when they ended in good terms in Homecoming? Morbius says YES to this stranger to team up and go after someone he has no idea or motive to go after.
All this nonsense, just makes me not excited for this cheap Sinister Six of B level characters (when we just had a version in NWH with iconic versions of characters). Is Sony now gonna say that Mysterio is alive and by the hands of god have him teleport to? LMFAO. It's just crazy to me.
As a fan, I have massive issues with this. They are just so... clear and right there that it's just embarrassing.
Is this another race to a teamup like DC did?
And like...are all their movies gonna be rotten?? I mean... painfully mediocre?
Kraven sounds like another one. A movie a with a terribly mediocre creative team behind, with a big star in front and a 70-90M budget that is apparent in the trailers IMO. Already my prediction.

Sony is really trying to undermine with that 33M projection so that they can come out:

I doubt Morbius is Fant4stic-like bad. Fant4stic wasn't just a bad movie. It was a very, very troubled production that included fights between the director and casts, with the director getting kicked out during production.
Morbius might be just a weak and mediocre flick, though perfectly watchable. Hell, Dark Phoenix was watchable imo.
If Morbius does exactly what Dark Phoenix did worldwide, it'll be a sucess.
Is it tho? Maybe by the numbers. This thing breaks even at 185M.
But is it good for a Marvel movie, for a company that is desperately trying to build a Sinister Six without any logic whatsoever? Is it good for a movie that is a hype buildup? Honestly this Sinister Six is not exciting already with all this... lack of care and patience to build... ignoring any kind of logic.
-
Shame. I really hope Morbius flops.
Looks terrible. Just hearing it's logical problems and just lack of work put into it...lack of passion. They are desperately trying to rush this Sinister Six to fight Spider Man, no matter what. Literally, no matter what. Lol. It's not exciting already just by the... AWFUL buildup.
Really getting tired of this Sony shitty formula. Terrible scripts, led by big famous actors with budgets from 75-120M that is noticeable in trailers. (And this goes from Venom to Uncharted and now Morbius and already Kraven)
What's really frustrating is the GA continuing to eat this shit up.
As a fan of Marvel also, I worry how these Sony movies could hurt the Marvel brand.

Just saw that 2023 is Disney's 100th Anniversary. And as of now, they have quite the lineup. Note that there coud be changes and probably more films will be added from 20th Century and Searchlight.
February 17 - The Marvels
March 10 - Haunted Mansion
May 5 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
May 26 - The Little Mermaid
June 16 - New Pixar Movie
June 30 - Indiana Jones 5
July 28 - Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania
August 11 - Disney Live-Action: Snow White*
September 15 - 20th Century Movie: Kingsman 3 or Planet of the Apes**
November 3 - Marvel Studios: Blade***
November 22 - New Disney Animation
December 22 - Rogue Squadron****
* based on IMDBpro, Snow White is the only one filming. Almost sure it's this one**Almost 100% that it is Kingsman 3. The last of the trilogy starts filming this September. Or Planet of the Apes. Starts filming late summer-early fall
***100% Blade. Starts filming this summer. Only MCU movie with cast and filming start date. Other than the already dated ofc.
****Even if they don't get it rolling, I'm confident there will be a Star Wars movie here. Star Wars celebration is coming and we will hear something. There are rumors of other movies in development that could easily start filming till the end of this year
