Elvis is a classic 10-12M opener in the current marketplace.
Hmn... I have a feeling this COULD kinda break out.
I'm going bold. 30M OW. It's just a feeling.

5 hours trailer views
YT: 8.2M views 930K likes
Twitter: 13M Views 488k likes
Instagram:
Marvel 6.5M views
Marvelstudios 5.5M views
Hemsworth account 5.5M views
Facebook: 8M views
Good views across the board
But. How on earth in YT, it has 10M views only and 1M likes already? The views can't be lagging still. I guess.

The test screenings were extremely positive.
I wouldn't worry. They might be debating about some scenes but nothing to worry about.

Bruh. Is YT gonna step up their game?
This can't have 5M views only with 795k likes.
Are those views going to appear?

The visuals. This will be epic.

YO.
This thing smells like summer from a mile away. Idk if you guys understand what I'm saying.
I was saying this wouldn't... but I can now confirm.
This movie will hit a Billion even without China.
This trailer... feels like a Summer hit itself. God such a banger trailer.
Felt a bit underwhelming the 1st time... but rewatching and the music... god I love this.

Looks cute.
Are they going to try ignite another romance between Hemsworth and Portman because that’s something I don’t really feel like watching again
Waititi can ignite whatever he wants.
Sit down and watch.

I'd rather a trailer come in May.
I wouldn't mind.
In fact, I wouldn't mind if Marvel Studios kept this thing of showing the 1st trailer for the next movie, in the current movie, like NWH.
It could become like a appointment thing.
Like... the 1st trailer of Black Panther in the Thor 4 post credits. Because most post credits are a bit redundant. The mid credits scene is always the big one.
So making the post credits scene the place to see the 1st trailer of the next MCU movie is awesome to me

The only source claiming anything of that sort is this rando Brazilian one: https://www.chippu.com.br/noticias/thor-amor-e-trovao-recebera-primeiro-trailer-na-proxima-semana
Otherwise none of the other scooper bros have uttered a single word, which doesn't leave me too optimistic we'll be seeing anything until Doctor Strange 2 is out.
On the plus side, at least the break-even point for this will be one of the lowest in recent blockbuster history-or at least since Godzilla vs Kong which similarly had a tiny marketing campaign.
The mighty red rectangle is all the GA needs to see to be convinced. How do you think Morbius, a movie which otherwise would've had a single-digit opening, launched with $40M?
It's a very respected outlet in Brazil.
Today it's their all or nothing. Their judgement.
And you know what? I believe in them.
It's a FACT. Trailer is coming today.

Nope-no report of anything coming.
My thought was they had a teaser ready to go in late February or early March. It didn't look the way they wanted and they didn't want to face another Aladdin-Will Smith-teaser dilemma. So they did reshoots. When they finished, it was pressing too close to DS2's release, so they decided to just hold off to give DS2 its space.
The kicker is that there are so many other little nuggets they could have thrown out there like a sizzle reel, poster, pics and stills. Seems like they're putting all their eggs into the two-month basket.
It's coming today

Bad timing too. Feels like Everything Everywhere and The Northman have taken away all the attention from the Internet-friendly crowd that might've been all over it otherwise.
Yeah. This probably would be better releasing in August

Once it hits $400m.
If you think they will move on with a 4th with 400M WW you're out of your mind.
This thing needs to make at least 500M.
This franchise has been free falling like crazy. 200M each movie.
You think they move on with a movie that costs 200M making 400M? With a franchise just dying with every entry. There's just no point.
This is not the MCU.

Not that it will be a hit but I wonder if George Miller's Three Thousand Years of Longing could pull a Blackkklansman and come out in August after its Cannes debut. Could help pad out August.
I'm surprised none of the studios are launching a blockbuster on Labor Day after Shang Chi blew up that weekend last year. I would've expected that to become a prime weekend, but it looks like nothing is there right now.
I would like to see Pixar making it one of their dates.
I would like to see a Pixar movie every Labor Day.

Is The Batman reaching 800M?
-
This won't make a billion.
Ragnarok made 853M but in China alone it made 112M.
Today,I think Thor 4 would gross a billion with China.
Without China, I think this will land in the 900M.
They need to start by showing a trailer to the world quickly.

A bit more transparency with release dates would be nice.
Even Marvel Studios with their shows. They announce a release date when the show is close to start marketing.
Maybe it's just because I'm so used to know what's coming far down the line is the reason why I'm here whining like a baby.
But all this uncertainty makes me a bit frustrated, ngl. As a Disney fan.
-
Also. Now that Disney owns Fox, will they talk about 20th Century and Searchlight in D23?
-
Didn't Pixar say they would be releasing 2 movies per year? Only see 1 in 2023.
And that 1st week of March doesn't seem plausible because of how close it is to Haunted Mansion. Maybe they meant 2 movies per year when we can?
Also. Why there's only 1 20th Century movie in 2023? Where's Searchlight? I mean c'mon. At least put untitled in schedule.
Is Disney doing anything for 20th Century in theaters at the moment? This company feels so not organized from the outside. Maybe that's just me.
I mean, there are untitled movies in 2022 still. Whatever. I guess.

It was a reported by a brazilian website with genuine sources.
Buckle up guys. It's not this week but now we know it's next week for sure.

SHANG-CHI 2 will definitely be a over 100M opener.
I would say... 120M right now.
