These are Day 2 Comps, I tried to switch to T-14 but this is outperforming anything I have tracked with shorter pre-sale windows by some margin and then comping to longer windows gives it an unfair uphill climb. I'll see what it looks like tomorrow.
Blue Beetle had very poor days after initial launch hence the high number there. But you can see already slipping to FNAF and already overtaken Marvels. So if I had to guess now I would say this will fall somewhere between the two once we reach the end. Does seem to be overperforming in my region though.
0.205x Barbie would be around 4.4m or so or was that just a accident with the %?

The Flash supposedly had these incredible test screening scores and its audience scores ending up being atrocious so who knows

The Marvels (D-7):
852 tickets sold at 10 Houston AMC's/+37 YD
Comp:
0.621 x MI7 (EA + Wlmt incl) = $4.35m
Between (D-8) and (D-5), The Flash sold 263 tickets and Black Adam sold 247 tickets, Marvels pace is not good compared to these unless next 2 days see huge jumps

It is a bit unfair to make MCU like the only franchise suffered in SK. Post-Covid, Korean theatrical market simply shrink, domestic or Hollywood alike. In between 2017-2019 there were 4-7 local film hitting 5m admission but until now we have two. Nearly two years after the reopening, Korean only has three 10m movie but there were five in 2019 alone.
The only genre growing is Japanese anime.
No Way Home did like 8m adm when covid was still an issue and DS2 had almost 3m adms in first.5 days alone but fell apart due to mixed WOM, the lack of quality from marvel for south koreans in the last 2 years with exception of guardians 3 has killed their brand

Feige needs to tell Iger that they need to put a stop to all these tv shows for the time being so that he can focus on just the movies

@M37if the marvels has the same last week growth (% wise) that gotg 3 did then what kind of previews would we be looking at?

Pretty sure Alice Through the Looking Glass holds the record for biggest drop for a sequel to such a big blockbuster. From $334M to $77M...oof.
Should have dropped that movie after avatar 2, would have coasted to another billion

Scorceses previous theatrical release made $23m worldwide, he's not a draw to the masses

The Marvels (D-12):
716 tickets sold at 10 Houston AMC's/+12 YD
It has sold 266 tickets after the first 24 hours worth of sales or a 59.1% increase in last 17 days, i assume that % is much higher for other comic book movies between D-29 and D-12
