Forrest Gump is one of those movies that is near impossible to remake/reboot/spin-off (etc).

Venom is the Iron Man of Sonyverse, a completely generic story elevated to heavens high by a star-making turn of its leading man. Welcome to the big league, Tom! You were flirting with superstardom but this is it, man. You did it. You fuckin did it! Venom success is 100% down to what Tom brings to the table, like RDJ before him. Go see this movie! It's really funny and Tom's performance is an all-timer. :bravo:

To me, he is already a movie star in BRONSON (see above).

I always thought: what if Warner Bros had cast him as the Joker

instead of Heath? Unfortunately, after he is given these major roles

(Bane, Mad Max), he never really achieves that giddy acting high as

    he did in BRONSON.

The new Star Trek movies also didnt make anything substantial in Latin America/Asia overall. Sci-Fi/Space Operas seem to be just not as interesting for the people there (except youre part of the MCU/a comic book movie).

With the exception of SW, which other Space Opera movies or franchise actually succeed on the same level in US or Europe?

Don't think so. It's difficult to do good crowd-pleasing scifi. Look at all that talent behind Pacific Rim, Alien sequels, Hellboy & Blade Runner 2049 and the latter can't even break past $300M WW.

I am sorry. Maybe I do not get some things. What's the difference between 101 or 103 or 105? Even more when everything depends on ER. You should be more excited about getting 700m Yuan, which is the real Chinese currency.

And said this, and being myself a fan of DCU (specially BvS, the best SH film since TDKR), it does not matter if JL makes 660 WW or 670, or even 680. Even if there is a fucking holy Christmas miracle and it reaches 700. It is a huge disappointment. No matters how you look at it.

Take it easy, my friend. Looking at yuan number maybe the way to go here considering the potentially volatile ER.

But seriously, ER is not that volatile. And if you are talking about apple-to-apple adjusted figures, ticket price or domestic inflation

are also factors you had not mentioned.

    Justice League  -  5.9m / 667.2m  - 6.3%
    Darkest Hour - 3.3M/20.4m  +8.1%
    Fireworks(Japan) - 1.5M/74.5M -28.5%
    Viking(Russia)  - 0.62m/13m -19.5%

JL: with that kind of number and one more competition-free weekend, the movie definitely do more than USD$105M?

and Coco is a nice hit for Pixar after all....
