Decent movie. The pacing is very slow. While the movie has some really good moments, I felt bored at times. Score is average when it needed to be first rate. The lead actors are fine. Better than SM (2002). But that is not saying much.
The parents' fate is left unexplained for some reason. The pacing and lack of genuine excitement really pulls the movie down.

Decent movie. The pacing is very slow. While the movie has some really good moments, I felt bored at times. Score is average when it needed to be first rate. The lead actors are fine. Better than SM (2002). But that is not saying much.

True. Further, all three SM movies were huge blockbusters in India.TASM was expected to open huge and it seems to have surpassed even those lofty expectations.India always brings good news for hollywood films.

The Amazing Spiderman took a bumper opening across India. The opening was lower in Punjab due to a Punjabi film but the rest of the country say a huge turnout.
In terms of occupancies in the morning shows the film is on par or even better at places than the big non holiday Hindi openers like Rowdy Rathore and Ready.
The film was expected to break opening records of all Hollywood releases in India but the way it has opened it could shatter all previous records. It will comfortably beat day one figures of films like 2012 and Mission Impossible 4.

It looks like the weekend was underestimated by about $5 M.

I agree that this movie is eons behind The Matrix. That was not only revolutionary, but it was a great fun movie to boot.I wouldn't give it a D, but I would definitely call it forgettable. Its not gonna become a classic like The Matrix. The Matrix is just pure genius with legendary characters(Smith and Morph especially). Inception at times felt like it was trying way too hard to be clever.8.0/10

Highly Overrated. While the visulas are fantastic, the plot is pathetic and it is ridiculous that the actors in the movie try to explain every setup.
I found it to be pretentious and extremely boring.

There is nothing to be confused about Prometheus like some people who love the movie proclaim. The script is just poorly constructed and the movie is an exercise in boredom. Contrast that to the last half hour of Alien and Aliens. They are fantastically thrilling just as much Prometheus is boring. Further, way too many scenes are laughable to consider Prometheus to be a deep movie aka thinking man's movie by anybody over the age of 5.

True. The thread starter means Movies that are generally liked by the majority. I'm certain even the greatest movies would have detractors.I don't think there is any movie that everyone likes. Even profesional critics like to disagree sometimes.

Brilliant, colorful visuals and completely entertaining. It is manicly fast paced with the signature score. It is an excellent movie for all ages.
