    Time to officially stick a fork in 700 for BP unless Disney steps in, but that seems unlikely. Down to 14k on 28 screens, no way for it to naturally add another 100k now. That will forever be aggravating to see it stuck at 699.9m if they don’t do anything. 

    I think I2 will get there with the Labor Day boost. It had a pretty good hold against direct competition. Should have pretty good drops for the next few weeks.

    It's not your fault. EC gave us a number a while ago and someone made a Tuesday thread. It was then locked for whatever reason and is on the second page. You wouldn't have seen it. Not sure why it was locked in the first place

    Also I’m probably not going to see this movie at the cinema. I refuse to pay for movies that won’t at least gross 800m (700 if I’m feeling generous).

    Went from 100 million plus is in sight to under 80 million in a blink of an eye. Ant Man and the Flop indeed.

     

    Joking aside the opening isn’t bad or great. Came in the low end of tracking so hurray I guess. 

     

    Whats next that could surprise? I see Skyscraper brought up sometimes. Personally I think that movie looks absolutely atrocious.

    It looks like Black Panther did get a noticeable bump this weekend from Ant-Man 2 although not nearly as much as I was expecting. It's so close to $700 million now that it could probably still reach it if just left in theaters for the rest of summer.

    Disney could literally just expand it for like one Friday and it would get there. So irritating.
