Yeah, I'm thinking Crossbones will play a pivotal role, but not be the main.

Could the three phases follow a somewhat "traditional" story flow as far as an overarching story plot?
The first phase introduces the characters, and hints at the larger menace... (Thanos)
The second phase flushes out the menace more, and ends on a tragic, foreboding cliffhanger.... (in this case, the stories start involving more infinity gems, and maybe the second Avengers movie features the death of an Avenger, and maybe Thanos getting his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet, minus only a gem or two)
....and the third brings it all together, culminating in a epic battle, with the stakes higher than ever before (Thanos finally assembles all the gems, and the Avengers + Guardians + others take him on) ?
Maybe?
I'm now thinking that the Avenger who dies (assuming one dies, that is) is Capatain America, but in Cap 3, not Ultron.

I think the problem with Prometheus (and, similarly, Alien 3 & 4) is that the potential for a completely riveting tale is there, including huge questions like where did we come from, what's out there, how do we relate to it, etc. Wonderful human questions, appropraitely wrapped up in a horror atmosphere, as that is definitely one possibility.
Few things frustrate us more than awesome potential only half-ass realized, and I thnk that aptly sums up the Alien franchise as a whole. ...and this applies very well specifically to Prometheus. What a cool, cool idea, at times executed brilliantly, but ultimately fumbled enough to piss us off.
I am very much looking forward to Prometheus 2. Yet I'm sure I'll be overwhelmed with cool possibilities that fall short in execution.

I can't see the clips above at work, so sorry if this has alrady been mentioned - but Belushi in Animal House, as he's watching the half (or more) naked nublies through the window. He gives the camera a great look - so funny.

I thought it was fantastic. Great adaptation, and my high expectations were met. JLaw was incredible (although I did catch her "acting" in a few scenes), and much of the supporting cast was great as well.It had been long enough since I read the book that I forgot about Plutarch's role, so that was a cool, unexpected reminder (although it kind of started coming back ot me as the movie progressed).I loved the end scene - the girl has talent. I can't believe it is competing for the same dollar amount as Iron Man 3. THAT flick was a let down, for sure. I guess there's no accounting for taste.
