Everything, the striking visuals, the haunting Herrmann-ish score, the spectacular Dicaprio performance and Scorsese sure-handed direction all comes together perfectly to make this his most atmospheric and involving movie yet.

 

Closest to perfection Scorsese ever got in this person humble opinion, really. 90/100
