definitely overrated, as a lot of early experimental shorts are.

i was rather amused by this, with its dream antics and ridiculous use of music. i also had no idea what was going on or what it meant, and it seemed put together rather amateurishly. but it was kinda fun, at least.

4.5/10

Sometimes it looks just artsy-fartsy crap. But some avant-garde cinema creatively pushes the boundary of cinematic grammar. I think this movie did. It somewhat reminds me of David Lynch's films or Chris Nolan's Inception. Symbolic & fluent camerawork and editing create preposterous and creepy imagery that arouses anxiety and tension from between eros and thanatos. Impressive work.
