Xillix
http://deadline.com/2017/08/broad-green-closing-production-department-15-layoffs-gabriel-hammond-daniel-hammond-1202140545/ Long story short, Broad Green Pictures is laying off 20% of their staff and shutting down production. They claim they're not dissolving the studio but will attempt to re-assess their focus or some nonsense like that. Their "biggest hit" was A Walk in the Woods which made under $30 million domestic. About 50 films they have in development will be going into turnaround to give the producers chances to set them up at other studios. For whatever reason Broad Green are gonna try and hold on to Just Mercy (true story about the founding of a legal practice for the disadvantaged), 1974 (true story of the real-life "Amityville horror" murders), Eli (horror movie about a boy trapped in a haunted hospital), and The Vessel (I have no idea what that is). Allegedly they are looking to pick up some new films to distribute from the festivals this autumn and re-launch early next year.
