It certainly seems like bullshit to me.At least the GR2 supporters, yes there were a few of them, have been silenced. No one wanted this movie.
Re: BOM I can't believe they got on board that train. Sure, you mistyped a budget and once estimates are out revise it. Take that shit back where it came from.

I can root against GR if I want.
-
I hope when the next GR2 numbers come in they drop from these numbers.
-
I hope GR2 does really badly when the numbers do come in.

DH2 was easily better than ROTS.DH2: A-ROTS: C+

I wouldn't say that 5M copies sold by the time the first Twilight film opened would indicate explosive interest at that point. It seems like it didn't really lift off until after the film opened. I still can't find total OS sales for THG but they probably would be in a similar ballpark by mid March. This won't be huge OS but I think it can do solid numbers. 240M-250 is attainable IMO.
-
When Twilight opened back in November 2008 the series had sold 25M copies worldwide. 20M of those copies were sold domestically and only 5M OS yet the OS gross matched the domestic gross. Just for reference.

If people don't really care about choice nine or ten the film only gets 1 or 2 points anyway and it's negligible.
-
If it's only 9 and ten then that's ok. Or maybe people should just put down 8 films but people putting down 2 films is a joke. Then we disagree.Forcing users to add films that they aren't anticipating makes a mockery of the thread, IMO.
-
How about this: why don't people put down their most anticipated movies in the real order and be honest about it so we actually have a better idea of what movies people are really anticipating which is the whole point of the thread in the first place...People should put down a list of ten, even if they won't actually see everything, just put down films you are mildy interested in to make up the numbers. It's not that hard. You shouldn't be able to put down one or two films for a 12 month period, nobody will believe you and it just turns the thread into a joke. Films should only reach number 1 if the interest is really there and not because they are being artificially inflated by people putting in obscure choices or only putting down two films to ensure their desired film reaches number 1.If people don't do this properly their votes shouldn't be counted.

Destined for low ratings this year.
-
It should be fine as long as the 79M budget is true
-
Possibly some crazy uber-fans going to see him but that's not the biggest part. The Rock is the main draw here.In THG fans site I see lots of references to Journey 2 opening this weekend because of Josh.

We don't know whether the budget is 110M or this newly reported 79M. Secondly a film making less than it's budget domestically isn't generally a great sign of a continuing franchise (Narnia). They get a higher percentage of the grosses domestically. It's not exactly going to be a monster OS. It may do fine depending on what the budget is and what the domestic total ends up being....and the overseas gross?
-
That's not too bad if that's the actual budget.
-
Not with a 110M budget.Mother of god Journey 2...WB is thinking franchise right now.
-
We know that can't be true because new year's resolutions last five minutes.I think everyone made the new year resolution to watch as many movies as possible or maybe people are feeling more confident in economy and are spending money on non-essential things like cinema.
-
With all of these re-releases most of those 850M/900+ movies would make a billion. It doesn't mean much.Still looking to break $1B WW though.
-
It's just that it all started with the first movie of 2012. It didn't just start picking up in March when the bigger films come out, it's as if at the turn of the year movies are "in" again.Yes. The sudden change is staggering. Unbelievable. By the way, JC needs this revived interest in movies from Americans.
what things about the Star Wars prequels do you like?
