Aquaman was popular as a joke tho. Nobody took him seriously. Breaking 300m was a surprise
I spent my childhood laughing at Aquaman. Who's laughing now?
Still me.

We're seriously getting concerned over an A- Cinemascore? That's a thing we're doing now? Okay then.
I can remember a time long ago when this forum scoffed at Cinemascore...like, two or three months ago.

Why would EmpireCity post any numbers?

LETS DISCUSS THE RECENT ONGOINGS IN THE MEDIUM BEHIND BOTH DC AND MARVEL - COMIC BOOKS
Kitty Pryde and Collusus are gonna get married in a big comic book event
Batman and Catwoman are gonna get married in a big comic book event
Gambit proposes to Rogue and they’re now gonna get married in a big comic book event
SpoilerYou're wrong about Gambit & Rogue. They will get married and have a new book called Mr. & Mrs. X.
How do Gambit & Rogue haves sex? She can't touch anyone without killing them unless that's been changed. She was always whining about her deadly booty, even on the cartoon series. There could be creative ways around that, I suppose.

Actually he was a PRODUCER on Wonder Woman and not a meaningless one either. He even helped with the story. Go to IMDb and see for yourself. He has producer credit. Not a meaningless Executive either.
And that is why the third act of Wonder Woman had such a hideous CGI villain and a murky, nighttime battle, just like JL and BvS (and SS, for that matter).

That was because Disney made a fool of themselves by repeatedly saying things like 100 million OD is within reach and actuals constantly coming in lower than estimates.
They learned from that though. Now they purposely underestimate there blockbusters
Did Marvel say AOU could make $100M on its first day or did that come from people here? This place is infamous for making hyperinflated predictions and then getting hysterical when they don't pan out.

guys c'mon you know the bit by know. tree is very stupid. literally the dumbest person who's posted here and that's an achievement. it's legit surprising he doesn't forget how breathing works or something. he'll always come here and say something like "bananas are supposed to be eaten with the skin on. peel them? i've never heard of someone doing that" and then people are gonna yell at him for 2 pages and he'll be like "whatever. peeling bananas seems pretty stupid to me"
My only question is, how has that guy lasted long enough to post over 17,000 times? After he went on his, "I'm unfuckable" rampage in the BP weekend thread I muted him because reading his spew was too annoying. Do the mods keep him on as some sort of running joke or something? They might as well invite fish back. At least her "Shitto" outbursts would be less frequent now that the Tolkien films are done.

Did people blamed Last Jedi 1.332 billion biggest movie of the year on sexist nerds ? Half of the time by using so much sarcasm and shortcut I do not understand people point they are making at all.
It's the opposite. Sexist, racist, entitled nerds claimed that TLJ's $1.3B haul was so much lower than TFA's because Star Wars fandom rejected the movie's female lead and all of the POC in the cast. They've been posting that openly on many forums so I'm surprised you haven't seen it here, too.

I have signatures turned off (much too noisy) so good to know.
Not that I would re-post them anywhere else, but still...
I've also turned sigs off because they clutter up the threads. Last I heard, sigs were reserved for the premium members, anyway. I'm happy I can block them, though I hear that TalismanRing once had a particularly cute cat in hers that I regret missing.

What, is The Duchess of Sussex posting here now?
"One can only hope" would be a good way to phrase such an opinion.

Star Wars is done. Hopefully this doesn't tarnish the first three films too much.
Now we can only hope the same fate befalls Marvel.

Also, I want to thank Rthanos’s new sig for making it very clear where else it is acceptable to post his numbers (nowhere). Anyone who didn’t know that before, please take note.
He is aware that people from other sites lurk in these threads every weekend, right? People quote Rth and the "experts" here more often than the trades.

Yes, that's the peak. Everyone agrees they can't repeat it, so it's down from here.
"Everyone agrees"? Is that the same "everyone" who keep predicting that superhero fatigue will set in any minute now? By the end of 2018, Marvel Studios will have 4 billion more reasons why "everyone" is wrong yet again.

29 minutes ago, Cookson said:Lol... Why wouldn't they just say 200.
It's hilarious that DisGrace told her brainless followers that IW's China total was a fraud because she claims that Disney and China conspired to inflate its total. She has never gotten over the fact that Marvel fired her.

In my area, the only tickets I could find for Sunday are in the first row. And most of those are around the edges because front-row center seats are gone. My second viewing will have to be midweek since the second weekend is already filling up, too.
