A few laughed on my Thursday showing, found it weird. Despite all the critical observations. Still nothing about the movie I don't like. -
Actually a crazy thought occurs to me due to my confusion. What if Hans body finds it way to phasma and they turn Han into a weapon cyborg or some type.

Feelings change over 30 years. That said I think best we get is hologram recordings or voice work from Ford if needed. Han is dead.

This would give alot more meaning to the handing off of that light saber. Would be cool for sure. Most of these theories are.possible. Again she was abandoned as a child, not a baby. If she was Luke's daughter, and he knew about her, I would assume Ben, who was with Luke, would know of her.

The ages don't match up in any meaningful way if they are same age. Age can be deceiving. They could be upwards of 10 years apart. Daisy is early 20s while driver is early 30s I am pretty sure. Going by those ages a 15-18 year old driver could have turned while Rey was 5-8 years old.

I don't think Rey and Ren being twins is hard yo explain. Han wasn't at birth, whoever was hid Rey or even said she died in order to split up the twins knowing if one of them turned the other would be needed, similar to the there is another part of original trilogy. It is possible whoever did this died and that is why no one had come to get Rey. Leia may have started to feel this connection when she met her finally, Luke should know who she is as soon as she got nearby, wouldn't be much of a Jedi master otherwise. R2D2 could have been told by Luke, thanks to that dream scene, to stay in low power waiting for something to happen. It could have to do with Rey, or it could have to do with Ren killing Han and thus becoming a true sith.

I do believe it is likely Rey had training as a child. She looked to have been abandoned on Jakku at a young age, but still old enough to remember some things. Whether it was from Uncle Luke, Father Luke, or Master Luke doest matter to much.

Anyone else find it odd Ren's name was Ben? I knew that name was familiar to me....beside a new hope and Kenobi, Luke honors him in the now erased expanded universe by naming his only son Ben. Also there are tons of not very likely but equally shocking possible explanations for Rey's lineage beyond Luke being her father. She could be Ben's twin sister, perhaps hidden from leia and han...perhaps claimed she died in birth but really someone hid her away. What I felt was odd is this idea that Rey thinks someone is coming back for her, but is told no one is coming back for her. I just can't understand why Luke would abandon his daughter knowing how well that worked out for himself. Also now that Ren has killed his father, I wonder if he takes the Darth Ren name now?

Knights of Ren recruited Ben, thus he renamed himself Kylo Ren. I don't know much about them beyond they are nearly a 30 year old group themselves. So they where around before he turned on Luke and his students. Rey's force vision seems to show the knights and Kylo after they had killed the students. Her vision is essentially the best parts of the teaser trailers...

If Rey is not his biological daughter she could still be a sort of adopted one. It wasn't clear to me how long ago Kylo killed the other students at Luke's academy, nor was it clear to me how old Rey is meant to be or even kylo ren. Obviously both less than 30 though. In order words Rey could have been a child at the academy before she was taken away in an escape and left with someone on Jakku. In that way Luke would know who she is, and so would R2D2. If she is Luke's biological daughter,which is more likely, it would be interesting to know who her mother was.
