My BvS showing ended up with around 35-50 people before movie officially got underway. Also wtf we got no Civil War trailer. My sister somehow hasn't seen the Spiderman one yet and I was hoping they would have it.

Up to about 15 people. Phone off now.

8 people in my theater for bvs.

Reactions have not been very good overall from my family and friends. Even people I follow om twitter were pretty split. But I expected as much. Waiting for my sister to see it before I decide if I will even see it in theaters. She is the biggest batman fan and I am curious what she will think.

Honestly fans of DC over Marvel should be happy. Because even a worse case, Snyder leaves justice league maybe delays, doesn't mean this movie does dismal in box office. The worse case here is really likely a win win, better directors,a new direction, and you still get your DCU because no way this movie does poorly enough for those plans to change. In a coincidence, my wife texted me she would take one for the team and go with me this weekend if we went to a matinee...so maybe I will get to see it. The batman fanboy in me is likely clouding my judgement, but I still want to see this soonish.

I mean any comic book fan, even those that greatly prefer Marvel, would likely have an itch to see this had reviews been glowing. And I suspect many people where beginning to get swept up in the trailers and clips and early fan impressions. So when critics, and a few fans who were mostly silent that first night, confirmed all the fears then the same people came crashing back to earth or get burned up because they got to close to the sun. On this forum there was probably a sizeable portion that fits into this group.

Of the people who look to reviews many of them likely know what they are looking for when skimming through reviews. For me in this movie it was mainly concerned about a few things for my wife, need her to be entertained on a date night, and came to the conclusion she would not be. She NEVER made it through Man of Steel even so I find it a stretch she would make it through this and I am not spending $30+ for her to fall asleep or not care. That is how many people who rely on reviews use reviews. They make a judgement call based on their desires or wants for a movie. When a transformers movie is destroyed by a critic but they say "the fights and destruction are amazing and it can be stupid fun" then many people see that as fitting what they wanted anyway. So this idea that people open RT and just see scores and decides "ew, nevermind" isn't necessarily true IMO.

I think airports were closed, and I've heard about banks, but that's about it. Oh, I am sure reviews as well as security are going to have some affect though. Much of Europe may be lower than it had been just for security reasons, which makes reviews even more important Imo because some people may just not even bother later either if they don't hear great things.

Aren't alot of things closed in France right now though?

His character is important IMO. Almost wouldn't make sense to continue, or finish, without the character. And I don't see how this can't be a definitive passing of the torch, I mean the last one was probably meant to be that but Shia's antics and the poor reception have forced Disney to do it again.

I assume he has to be recast. And a joke about the recast will be made.

Ford got hurt walking around the falcon. I am no quite sure how this will work. Recast the son and pass the torch a bit? Maybe it is time for Indy to die too. It would be amazing if Ford could bring closure to his biggest characters from Raiders, Star Wars, and Bladerunner. How many actors get to do that 30 years later?

I would think most schools would be out the last two weeks of march. Which wouldn't include this week. Especially because of Easter falling in march this year. It just makes sense to do spring break the week of Easter when that week is in march. Pretty sure this movie will see an great next three weeks, Easter should be nice to this movie.

Movie can only be so long. I felt they showed all they needed of him being upset and shunning her. She gave a heart felt plea and he let her. Not sure what more you wanted. Movie could have easily been 2 hrs but for a family movie that would not really work either.

Ridiculous... everyone has a little bigotry in them sometime in their lifes. The question is can you overcome it and move past fearing those that are different than you. If Nick does not forgive Judy that we are saying there is no way past bigotry and racism. So much this.

All of which were over 17 (the age of which you can be admitted into an R-rated film without supervision), I'm sure. It's anyone under that that was pretty much locked out. For years (if not decades) there has been a belief that Hollywood mostly caters to the teenage boy demographic in which action pictures with that audience were the kind of movie regularly cranked out the most with other demographics (females, in particular) being largely underserved with "event" titles for said markets. In recent years, we have seen a shift away from that kind of mindset as the traditional action picture has mostly become extinct unless it's a brand name or has a big star involved and more "adult" focused pictures (like The Revenant) are largely dominating the box office scene, with young males mostly only showing up for the "franchise" titles. A movie like Deadpool probably would've been forced into being a PG-13 a decade ago. If my theater was any indication parents don't care. Theater was half kids. I mean kids, under 10.

So many kids at my showing this morning. All the way down to 5-6.

Actually a Dr Doom movie, where victor is the main character, that shows his rise from victor to dr doom and taking over latveria could be great.

Deadpool still around, in Spidey cartoons, video games, marvel does comics still. Fantasic four is a different beast. Fox would be stupid to think they can make it work without Marvel. Now expanding the xmen universe is a different story.
