If anything, I could see Christmas shopping being more of a factor Sunday than Football. It's the last Sunday left before Christmas, people who work all week are going to want to get all of their shit done tomorrow. -
In terms of football, it depends i bet what teams it is. those who have teams playing big games or games they need tyo win to get into the playoffs will probably opt for football. if your team is just out or sucks at this point who cares about missding it lol.

MODERATION: If anyone thinks or feels someone is spoiling anything at all about the movie, instead of lashing out and attacking everyone PM myself, CJ, or any other mod with the exact URL where the spoiler is so that we can help. From there we'll work something out and see what the spoiler actually contains. Yelling out "fuck you" to people doesn't solve anything.

Alright, easy now. I understand your frustration but is BB8 really a spoiler? He's in the trailer and clearly as many of our sig's and profile pics. We just said it's name, not what it does or anything.

It was predicted to make 130-145M OD, but now estimates are dropping to 120M, so apparently it's still going to do mad money.

These really aren't shocking numbers. Harry Potter and unfortunately Twilight were from novels, which girls do tend to read more and so it's not uncommon for those young adults book to movies to have a bigger female base group vs. Star Wars that is obviously skewed towards more male population.

Yeah, I knew where you going with that since I was there too. We'll never really know, but strong evidence here suggests SW would have won anyways, maybe if it was just at midnight it would have pulled in something like 47-49M ish.

I think today could be in the 60's somewhere, making a possible 117M mark, or even higher.....

I feel like even if both had the same amount of show times, wouldn't it be easier for people to go to a 7 or10:40 showing than midnight? Definitely seems likes slight edge to me but given that (like someone beat me too) SW made 50+ vs say 45 or so, it just shows that it would of won probably either way.

100+ OD to me is assured. Can't see tonight making less than 50M TBH. I think OD COULD FROM 107-117M.
