  1. They really didn't believe him so Alice looked at Bourne, who knew he had to punch out this dude, but before he could do it, he heard, "Great Scott!" and the guy shut the door and the Delorean disappeared again. By now, they could hear the sirens and people yelling in the distance. So they ran out of the city and into the woods. For sure they would get some reprieve here so they think it all through. But there was no reprieve as a ripped man with bulging biceps, long hair and an emerald Buddha around his neck snuck up behind them and said..... :)

I'm probably gonna kick myself because I think I remember a character like that, but I need more hints...

This will be fun to keep this going in the Speakeasy. I know this thread will be going away. Should make a game out of it.

Let me know and I'm there. :)But back to work I go.... uugh. not as fun..

  3. The crazy moving, tall thin man told them "you have to come back with me to the future." The two were completely stunned to hear the news. They looked at each knowing they had the same question of "why?". The wild eye scientist replied "something has to done about your cloned kids and some crazy zombie dogs or something"

At that moment a van appeared just like the Delorean. It was green and has the words "Mystery Van" on the side. What the fuck they yelled. The wild haired guy said.."Oh shit their here!" Bourne and Alice together: "Who?" he answered: "Your cloned kids and the zombie dog Scooby Doo! Their back from the future!"

  4. Alice asks them to prove that they are Vincent and Jules....the black dude pulls out a wallet that says "bad muthafucka" and then they demand the briefcase again. Bourne and Alice look at each other and then Bourne begins to talk....but before he can begin his sentence, another man comes out of the vault and says, "you know folks, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain." All four of them look over at him, like he was a bug on the wall, but then things get really messed up when a man in a Batsuit swoops in from the ceiling....

Asking all of them if they found the keys for his pimped out automobile. He happily takes out his iPhone to show them pictures saying the mileage sucks but this shit can jump buildings. They search the briefcase and instead of car keys, there's a heart with a note: Property of Davey Jones....

  5. ...then suddenly she realizes, she Mutherfucking ALICE. She can kick ass herself. Maybe that red pill messed up her mind. She does a karate spin kick and knocks him into the water, where a giant 25 foot 3 tonne Great White eats him for a snack. She takes control of the boat and heads back to shore. Once she docks, she comes across a man standing on the dock looking kind of confused. She thinks maybe she should help him. She asks him his name, and he tells her that he has lost his memory but he has a code for a safety deposit box singed into his skin and that if she helps him.....

They board a train to Switzerland and get into the bank and get the safety deposit box. Their they discover his name is Bourne, relieved he says thanks but discovers a secret compartment in which there is a briefcase. They open it to find some wierd glowing thingy...two men charge in. Ones white with a beer belly and the other likes to say just swears about snakes on a plane. They say that their names are Vincent and James and they want the briefcase.

  6. They brought Gilroy in after Damon and Greengrass wouldn't commit to the 2 scripts. One was written by George Nolfi and one was written by Josh Zetumyer(?). The story gets murkier from there. Gilroy says in one interview that Universal brought him in to write a script without Matt Damon/Bourne. In another interview he says it was all his idea, lol. Damon thought Gilroy was brought in to write the Jason Bourne movie. He had no idea that he and Greengrass would not be part of it. He found out when everybody else did the Universal was taking the movie in another direction and that Gilroy would be the director. Gilroy wasn't signed on to direct at first. That came later. The bad business between Gilroy and Damon probably resulted from Damon publicly blasting Gilroy's Ultimatum script. He said that it was unusable and they had to rewrite everything on the fly. He did later apologize. But that's why he didn't want to commit to a movie without seeing a completed script first. He said that once they committed Universal would give a release date and they would be under too much pressure to complete the movie if a script wasn't in place. He said that's what happened with Ultimatum and it was just too hard. Now Gilroy doesn't like Greengrass and he's made some pretty snide comments about him. But he's never publicly said anything bad about Damon.

LOL. Thanks for the quick backstory of The Bourne Franchise. So Damon didn't like the Ultimatum script, but did he like Supremacy and Identity? Or was the whole thing about doing everything on the fly only for Ultimatum. And he didn't like the scripts after Ultimatum. Any particular reason?
  7. It's not just Universal's decision. They have to get Matt Damon on board. He's willing to come back but he won't commit until he sees a script and feels it works for the character. He's made that clear and Marshall even confirmed it.

Ahh I thought it was more about Damon v Gilroy. It just seems they don't get along, and if Universal cares more about the health of the franchise, I'd think they'd jettison Gilroy first, even though he was more willing to work under their schedule. The results in the BO just shows. Gilroy is just not that good for the franchise.
  8. At least the BO is looking better than last week. As for Nemo, decent number I think. It's a re-relase of one of Pixar's best (IMO) but it's computer animated 3D, so there's been quite a bit of those lately. I thought it would do a little more than Beauty 3D since it was still a bigger BO hit during it's initial run. But I think 3D of traditional animation is more of a novelty than 3D of computer animation so it kind of balanced things out.

  9. I want great fights from the agents. :)

Heh a great fight would be Cross v Bourne during a first meeting like Iron Man and Thor. Without the super powers of course. But talk about epic possibilities. :)

I think they could continue with Cross and Marta in their own movie and drop the Bourne title. I think it would be successful on a more modest budget.Damon and Renner in the same movie would be ideal but that's easier said than done. Universal isn't the only one who has a say in it.

Yeah there will be roadblocks for sure and easier said than done. But the BO potential could be sizeable and Universal did it for Fast and Furious so why not for Bourne for at least for one sequel? ;)
  10. TLK was particular case... its OD was somewhat inflated due to anticipation. Most September animated releases jump over 50% on their first Saturdays. Dolphin Tale jumped 69%, Legend of the Guardians jumped 53% and cloudy jumped 62%.So a 50-60% jump for Nemo is certainly possible. Let's see how it goes.

Thanks for the info. Makes sense considering more time for kids to see movies on Saturday. But like LK, and BB3D, it's still a re-release and their jumps were re-release Of course TS1 & TS2 3D had a 70% jump as well so a 50% is in the range.ETAOops should've read the other posts first. Sorry.
  11. I agree about This Is 40, Apatow's films are becoming a little self indulgent.

Yeah his last couple of films, except for Bridesmaids have been meh...

A BOURNE film with Damon and Renner is gonna be epic. I hope it happens.

If Universal only cares about the quickest way to make $$$$ from the franchise, which seems to be the case, then yes, they will should make it happen. I still think they can make a very good Bourne movie with just Cross (again by not using Gilroy :) ) but it will be more difficult for it to be financially successful.
  12. Haha you're pretty good at it.

Heh thanks. I think its a little easier to guess day to day numbers. It's like finding comparables. Much harder to do predictions of OW/DOM, that can almost seem arbitrary.

    I think its locked.

Expecting RE5 to drop on Sat or Nemo to have a bigger jump? Hard to predict Nemo 2 but my guess is that it's gonna have a LK like Saturday jump.
  13. Still counting the pennies for Bourne? :lol:Hate to be negative but whether it's 115m or 120m, it's a dissapointment.

 I look at it like collecting stats for a favorite baseball team :) even if their not going to the playoffs. It's run hasn't been as wanted but it's the first movie I've been trying to track and predict so.... And this was my third most anticipated movie of the summer after TA, and Prometheus.
  14. What's up with Raiders of the Lost Arc's friday number? It kept weirdly increasing in the weekdays unlike the other movies, and now it collapses on friday despite a gain in theaters... I do not understand its run. lol

Heh was thinking about that but it lost the IMAX screens and the run was extended to regular theaters the last minute. So I don't think too many know that it's still running. Looking for a nice bump today.
