Not as used to following OS as DOM. But it looks like its doing ok. I'll take any not bad news. At least it should end up 100+ DOM.I really wish they had not staggered the overseas release dates like they did. Leaves it too wide open for illegal downloading and boot legging.

Nice jump for EX2. 60M by end of Friday? Was looking for a bigger jump for BL2 but still Following last week pretty closely. At least it stayed below 50% drop.
-
Yeah was looking for a bigger bump since yesterday's drop was a little steep. But still should be less than 50 week/week. Looking for actual closer to RTH estimateI was looking for a bigger increase. At least 20%

New OS total from BOM $43,599,100 as of 8/26Not bad I think and lots of territories to go. At least WW gross is now above the given production budget.
-
Those are some nasty drops! Just checked BOM and that's 64% for the first week and 72 for the next. Looks like they lost a ton of theaters. 33% after the first week and almost 2/3 in the second. Why so much?per BOM

Bourne Legacy's total is now $4,642,480, 4th highest of the year. It won't catch Dark Knight Rises at #3 which earned $5,296,564. Bourne's 2nd week took quite a fall the mixed WOM kicked in.
Still ending up number four ain't so bad.

Interesting new properties. Curious about the Hacker is Watching, sounds like Eagle Eye but instead of some big government agency it's a group of hackers. The Fireboat movie sounds interesting as well.Film Rights: Universal Pictures signs on as studio for ‘The Hacker Is Watching’
Film Rights: Universal Pictures goes for three-peat, signs on as studio for ‘Fireboat’
Film Rights: Universal Pictures signs on as studio for second flick, ‘Getting There’

A little steeper day to day drop than I wanted but bright side is that it's a 45% drop from last week.the-numbers.com

Heh if I had to bet which sequel will be get the green light first, I'd put my money on the SWATH sequel. It'll end up with more DOM and most likely more OS.LOL I really don't know. I guess they need a writer.
-
If you love Family Guy you'll love Ted. Damn funny movie.I hear we're going to get Ted on September.
Yeah what's up with the international numbers? At least Australia is looking good.Is Bourne still number 1?
-
Big achievement considering the success of the previous Spider-Man movies. He's basically the favorite US superhero in Japan right?Yeah. Looks like it will fly past TASMWell deserved
-
So many numbers. :lol:So I guess TA will outgross TASM (38M) and is on track for 40-45 with a small outside shot at 50 making it the 5th highest grossing superhero movie in Japan. Great news all around!
-
Haha thanks, but a lot of it just ideas used before. Besides we all have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. As for the sequel, who knows. If they go ahead with it, maybe they'll do as most people here suggested, put Gilroy in a more background roll. Anyway, any news on SWATH sequel? I figured with all the drama, they'd put that in the backburner. That would have been ideal, imo. You have such great ideas. Maybe you should be in charge of this stuff, lol.But in order for that to work they would have needed to have Damon on board.
-
Like The Bourne Conspiracy, but if they go with the usual pattern then they'll just pick one of the book titles and the next one is The Bourne Betrayal. Personally I like the Bourne Objective or Bourne Sanction as titles, if they decide on a sequel. However, to combine Bourne and Cross..what about Bourne Crossroads or Bourne CrossoverThe Bourne Operation (some shit Cross plans to do) or The Bourne Conspiracy sound right to me.
I think that they can get away with it, but it just won't be as successful again. It's a fantastic brand but just too much history to overcome in one shot. Maybe a better strategy would've had Damon in Legacy and sort of hand it off to Aaron later?I don't think they will be able to get away with using Bourne in the title without having Bourne in the film again.
-
Heh I'll check once I get the chance. It should cross 100m mark in the next 10 days or so don't you think? Are you still pacing it with Bourne Identity?
-
Yay! BL actual went up a little. Only 36K but better than nothing!

same here the whole distribution and production thing takes a while to sort through. Saw it in this article recentlyhttp://www.altfg.com/blog/movie/the-expendables-2-box-office-sylvester-stallone/I'm confused. I don't know.
-
I thought they bought the rights to the US and UK. They had nothing to do with international to begin with..I can't figure out why LG would sell the rights overseas.
-
Looks like OS markets have to make up for domestic again. I wonder if lionsgate will make back it's money for buying the rights?Regarding EX2 overseas:It had a good opening in France and it has already passed the originals total in Russia. It won the weekend too.http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/foreign-box-office-expendables-2-365484

Friday and Saturday bumps don't seem to be as good last year as this year. Maybe that's it?It's certainly possible. But do the studios know something we don't? Is there some big TV event tonight?
-
DittoLooks like Pixar recovered from cars 2Congratulations to BRAVE for crossing 230 M.
-
Know I'm getting greedy after a pretty good weekend but hoping the Sunday estimate is conservative. A sub 30 drop for sunday would be great
-
Just show's how week the releases were. The only movie I was interested in is Premium Rush and that was only after all the good reviews. I'm still debating on whether to watch it or not, but TE2 is on the plate already.I just realized the entire top five is holdovers.
