Right, since some claimed to drop off some suggestions here, I'm looking for a movie that has great cinematography and score (since that's the thing that entertains me the most) and have a touching story. Not blockbusters. (Examples: The Lovely Bones, Atonement, A Beautiful Mind and the upcoming The Secret Life of Walter Mitty).
Anyone have any suggestions?

Another A
Yup agreed as this was another of my suggestions.

Just wondering if anyone read the book, and is following the same story/
Also, as this was going to be a clean 13 episode story, wonder if it will get watered down too much if they strech it out, aka like LOST.
Especially since, they cant do alot inside of the dome, and everyone should be dying off over time inside the dome???

I watched this movie tonight for the first time (I'm going to cut it for a duo for speech) and it was so great. Loved it, and I didn't know Billy Crystal could act honestly. Great movie. A+
He really wasn't acting. That was the real him???
PS. The real name of the Movie, for your presentation to be actually correct is, when Harry Met and Fu*ked Sally Many Times

What would Depps career have been if he didn't take the pirates role?....He says this all the time. He's never been crazy about acting.
-
Just got back from the film and MAN, was I happy with the result.
It's not a typical superhero film for much of it ... feels more like an action film with a comic book character.
Hugh Jackman is always great as Wolverine. His 'bodyguard' Yukio was also great for a few laughs ... and some nice fight scenes.
Mariko ... oh she was a pretty young lady ... I see she's never acted in a film, and while it's not shocking, she was fine.
Silver Samurai vs. Wolverine was fun, but after what had happened throughout the movie, felt more 'superhero' like ... which was okay, but kind of clunky.
The end credits scene with PS Professor X, IM Magneto & Wolverine was awesome ... I totally wasn't aware they were showing up, even though I figured some sort of nod to Days of Future Past. Also, got that Trask Industries tease as well.

Fantastic movie enhanced by one of the best scores of all-time.
A
Agreed. and also a very tough movie, as it is the story of an American trying to get smuggle drugs through Turkey I think? and he gets caught and is sent to a old prison with mean sadistic prison guards.

Lol. Movie is to hard to break down totally without a long review, so all I can say is see it.Awesome film. A

Agreed and it reminded me of another movie. Day Earth Stood Still. from 1951. Not the later one.FORBIDDEN PLANET is awesome! (and has now been added)

Heard from early reviews it is an action packed summer movie. Which is a nice start. As I am looking forward to seeing that.

Ok. I forgot about that. Was that just with the stun gun in an office.Well it probably interested her since Root had tortured her. Just because she didn't want to help them in a group in the second season doesn't mean she won't in the third season.
-
As the others got millions. Hopefully he get like 100,000. Lol
-
Eh, she helps out Reese/Finch with the numbers. Like Carter/Fusco do.
Last post as we have to wait...but if you remember, she didn't want to help them as a group, even being uncomfortable when they are around. And when Finch made that original offer, she was only interested in working alone on Root, one that interested her for some reason..
? Well I am interested how it plays out.
-
Why? If anything, it'll be like most episodes she was in: Reese and Finch saving someone while Root's plot is developed in a few scenes.
Hopefully, but then that doesn't give Sarah Shahsi alot to do.
-
Cool. But that will probably change the show. From what it has been, with Root being a full time story.Shashi was promoted earlier this summer.
-
Cool! I love Root!
I love Amy Acker....so that is good news....
-
Best news ever: Amy Acker is coming back...as a series regular!
Interesting, as I guess she controls, half?, the machine...but what about Sarah Shashi, hopefully, as she was folloowing Ackers character.
-
This is a stupid film on every level but it was totally totally brilliant in my opinion and the humour was spot on.
Oh and the opening 20 minutes is what Die Hard 5 should have been in my opinion too.
I like hearing that!
Especially since they really took some classic actors Mirren & Mal...and mixed them with popular ones, Willis....
Etc Etc Etc

Moetz is young alsoAnd not polished enough to steal roles from older actresses like Natalie Portman or Anna Kendrick etc. Give her 10 years to get the answer right. She's very talented but not a big charisma. I think that's where her problem lies. She's chasing leading lady roles whereas she should try to build some recognition through supporting work first. And supporting is where she's the most effective anyway.Moretz is the one with real charisma. She just needs to grow up and type of roles she takes will stop being off-putting to mainstream.

Actresses That Should Have Had a Bigger Career ?
I am thinking more of people that they tried to have a career but it didn't happen
I say Rachel McAdams is a big one???? Like I said above.
They tried to make Julia Stiles "happen" forever.
Well she decide to go to college - Yale or Princeton
Denise Richards.
Well she was famous for that lesbian kiss and then she was laughed at for playing a scientist in the James Bond movie, plus she wanted to be a full time mother, as she now has 3 kids.
Can I say Meryl?
But in all seriousness watts.
Watts started very late and then she is more a full time mother...so her film career period is small
I was thinking about Saoirse Ronan, but she is kinda young, still.
Is she well known enough???
Christina Hendricks' movie career hasn't really been going that well
perfect example...as she has been on tv for years.....so she has been a working actress for years, maybe known better to the tv crowd and Jack but not movie viewers.
-
She's really only been around since 2008 and hasn't really been in anything that would make her a star yet. She will get there. She's well known for Twilight and for serious films like Up in the Air. Kendrick will no doubt be a big star one day imo.
Agreed! With her as she is young still and is picking smart good roles.
And as I said above on some others, for women talking about above, sometimes the choices is theres that they don't want the movie career - as they do the family life...or they go tv, which allows good money and better hours, and they can stay at home.
**************
Rachel McAdams - can't believe no one but me picked her as she was the hot girl 5 years ago and is single, so she doesn't fit the above.
Angie Jolie - wonder if she could have gone into serious movies, if she wanted a movie career over the family life?
