  1. Basically if Gravity opened to 207M, it would have made 160M+ 2nd weekend.
  2. Keep in mind next week could see a similar or bigger decrease because of the Monday holiday.
  3. Columbus Day is a Federal holiday here in the US.Post Office and Public schools are closed.
  4. Check out the JIminez goal today. A BICYCLE KICK GOAL! http://youtu.be/on1K1FKZA7c
  5. So basically Mexico will face New Zealand in November because there's no way Honduras loses. Of course, Mexico cannot lose on Tuesday either. BTW, Gravity needs to hit at least 11.5M on Friday to hit 40M this weekend.
  6. With Honduras’ 1-0 victory over Costa Rica earlier today, it means Mexico must defeat Costa Rica on Tuesday and hope Honduras loses at Jamaica. Any other combination of results would have Mexico end in 4th place, and be forced to play New Zealand in November.
  7. Still 1 more game. Honduras could lose to USA(with no goals) and Mexico could beat Costa Rica to have a chance at 3rd place.
  8. Sony's Captain Phillips is doing solid matinee business at the Friday box office, putting the adult drama on course to gross north of $20 million in its North American debut. But Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity remains the bigger play, and will have no trouble staying at No. 1. Friday's numbers suggest that the Warner Bros. space epic, starring Sandra Bullock andGeorge Clooney, will earn north of $35 million or more in its second weekend, pushing the film's North American total to upwards of $100 million by Sunday. After Captain Phillips, the weekend's only other new wide player is exploitation action film Machete Kills, from writer-director Robert Rodriguez. Machete Kills is expected to open in the $7 million to $8 million range.http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-captain-phillips-enjoying-647851
  9. Interesting considering some people said it would lose IMAX screens.
