I don't feel like the American filmgoer has been innundated with stories of black women achieving great things in science and technology.
My daughter popped out of her seat for this trailer. I guess I should've said, "Eh, it might be a Stand And Deliver rehash."

This Is The End jumped $100m domestic with a late re-expansion.

Billy Lynn, Edge of 17 and Bleed For This all figure to lose a drastic amount of theaters. Incarnate isn't going to take up much space.
Who benefits (insert Donald Sutherland exposition guy in "JFK" here) with the available theaters?

Couldn't holdovers have ok holds next week given that Incarnate shouldn't do much business at all?

About to attempt a Billy Lynn-Harry and Snowman-Edge of 17 triple feature.
H&S will depend on timing.
Billy Lynn looks to be verrry sparse.

Ha! Shaking to a higher OW and domestic finish.

You dismissed the the two most recent debuts and six debuts overall because this movie is most like the a threequel.
Little arbitrary.
Edit - Avengers was 3x.
-
Ant-Man did a 3.1 just last year
GOTG did well over 3x.
IM well over 3x.
Cap and Thor did about 2.7x.
Hulk did 2.4x.
2.5 + seems really likely.

Hell yes to Caesar's continuing adventure.

Brainiac, you should go to the other thread. Your fierce defense of SS is better there. Your analysis of SS relative to DP is kinda strange.

I really disliked SS. Some people like me foresaw really bad legs and this movie struggling to get to 300m. I/we were wrong.
On the other hand, an original movie with huge marketing getting toward a 2.4 multiplier isn't really impressive.
Deadpool had a similar OW and ends up roughly 40m ahead of SS's destination.
For that matter, my beloved CACW had about 35m on SS for OW, but will finish 80+m ahead.
I wanted to see SS flame out to promote change in the DCEU. My forecasting was off and the people who like the Snyder product have a sense of victory.

Lack of competition can't help a movie's legs?

BOM has Generation Found with $10m extra dollars, messing up the annual total.
This is awful.
?

BOM has FD at 2.6m for the four-day.

Re: Fassbender.
Bobby Sands is a hero.
Not a Chris Pratt hero though.

I was somewhat kidding, but LUKE CAGE.
-
This movie might have a strange multiplier within the OW.
Everybody should be watching Luke Cage on Netflix that Friday.

Any CACW expansion would get it over Hunger Games domestically.
Needs $1.2 for IM3.

No, he can't trust Tony.
Tony has gone behind his back about Ultron, building the Vision and the Accords.
Tony only has authority because he threw in with the openly corrupt Thunderbolt Ross.
Ross is exactly the guy Cap would mistrust.

Being moral doesn't require you to follow "superiors" and the law.
CACW shows Cap making a very explicit choice to separate from authorities that he can't trust.
Cavill Superman still hems and haws. It's frustrating to watch for me.

Cap remained a Boy Scout in CACW. His scout masters turn out to be terrorists in his last outing so he's trying to to run his own troop.

SS for an even $20m domestic this weekend.

Many racists are shallow bad guys. That could well be an accurate re-telling if history.
It is understandable if you think is tropey, would you agree that "Some Anviks Need to Be Dropped"?
