A bit late to the game, but here are my top 5 of the year thus far.
1. Wonder Woman
2. Baby Driver
3. War of the planet of the apes
4. GotgV2
5. Gifted
I saw Baby Driver. It was good, lots of action. Jamie Foxx played a bad guy, Jon Hamm play a good bad guy, and Kevin Spacey reused the same character that he played in "21". Instead of planning how to count cards he was planning on how to rob banks.Nice little love story going on and the music was great.9 out of 10 stars. Just because Spacey's character was not new.
Seeing Dawn later on today.
It's my own fault. I always get dragged into these stupid retarded arguments that go no where. It's a waste of time, bc it always ends up the same 'way.' These things have been going on forever.
Guess I get more heated bc I grew up reading Star Wars and Marvel/DC comics growing up in the 90's. Watched old animated shows like Xmen, Superman, Spidey. We really didn't have good superhero movies in the 90's. Original Superman and Batman(89) were the best. We had Batman and Robin which was awful.
'Not taking creative risks?' Now I know a lot of you have your heads stuck in the sand. That's okay, I didn't really expect to change any opinions on here.
I find it interesting people accuse marvel of not taking risks/gambles.
Wasnt Gotg a risk?
Wasnt Thor a risk?
Wasnt Doctor Strange a risk?
Wasnt Antman a risk?
What marvel did with these properties and the 'acclaim' they get is incredible. Jmo
As a marvel fanboy I've rewatched BvS more than CW, but that's bc it's on hbo every night and there's nothing else on. I've already rewatched the Martian a bajillion times.
