Tonight's episode is going to be great. I feel like a lot of peeps are going to be very surprised

Despite the train-wreck that is the Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons was actually a very solid film.

Oh and whatever happened to Joseph Fiennes? He was great in Shakespeare In Love and pretty much just disappeared after that although his brother Ralph certainly has been doing well.
-
Maybe I need to see it again because even though I realize how groundbreaking it was at the time I honestly didn't really enjoy the movie all that much. C

Orlando Bloom looked like his career was going to really take off after 2004. PoTC and LOTR were big moneymakers but films like Troy, Elizabethtown, and Kingdom of Heaven looked like a promising base to spring off from in 2005 but none were smash successes and even though he's been in plenty of stuff I wouldn't say that he's in the stratosphere of the Hollywood elite.

I personally prefer Once Upon a Time in the West, although Unforgiven is great.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I haven't seen Once Upon a time in The West so I can't really debate that with you at the moment although I'm sure it's a fine movie.
What's so great about Holy Grail is how much it stands the test of time. The movie is 40 years old but it doesn't feel outdated because the comedy (like most monty python stuff) is anchored by its campy production value which was purposefully cheap-looking even for its time, its overall ridiculousness of the cast, and gut-bustingly original, hilarious content which to this day has not been surpassed.

Unforgiven is the best western movie of all time
Damn straight.
It's a fantastic movie in its own right, but when you have Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman, and the "Duck" of Death himself in the cast winning Best Picture has to be pretty much a given anyway.

The only Blu-Ray I've ever actually payed for is Frozen which of course I got the day it came out

Also being a Browns fan, I have to say that it might just depress us. The only good #1 draft pick we get is in a fictional movie.
Hey as long as it's not Johnny Manziel I'll take just about anything
-
I had forgotten how good Costner can be as an actor. When he has the right director (Oliver Stone, Clint Eastwood just to name a couple) he is terrific. You can add Reitman to that class of director who got a terrific performance out of him. I loved his character in Draft Day. I felt the pressure he felt, I understood the stress he was under. Costner nailed this character and you can probably thank Reitman for that.
Draft Day is tension filled and it is funny and it is filled with drama and emotion. It's littered with great cameos and for a film that is selling itself on the mystery of who they are going to take on draft day, it did a very good job of keeping me guessing. This is perhaps the best film I've seen in 2014 thus far and it might make my top ten of the year.
9/10
Nice! As a Browns fan this makes me pretty excited to see it

Natalie Dorman is THIRTY TWO?! Wtf? She looks 25 max.
I know she is so youthful-looking! IMO, easily the most attractive and best actress in a cast of abundantly talented women. Hopefully she or Maisie can get a supporting nom this year.

I was totally expecting Frozen to lose the last bracket, so I had to stare at the selections for a bit and wonder where The Lion King went.
Yeah me too. It was looking like TLK was going to pull it out but Frozen had a late rally to squeak by at the end.

So sad to see The Lion King out
Anyway, here's my entry:

Well there is a difference from making the Stark kids/Dany/Joffrey a bit more age-appropriate for their plotlines and jumping Margaery from 16 to mid-20s. I understand they did it to make her more politically and dynastically active, but
It makes her resulting marriage to Tommen even more uncomfortable than in the books (unless they aged Tommen up off-screen between Blackwater and now)
Yeah Natalie Dormer is literally twice the age of her character (32 vs 16 in the books) and that could be a bit awkward later but funny you mention it they actually did age Tommen between S2 and now. They recast him with Dean-Charles Chapman who actually played one of the Lannister boys that Rickard Karstark murdered in Season 3. I believe he is like 14 or 15 so
That age difference is actually pretty similar a ratio as it is in the books (16-8) so their wedding should still have the same type of feel. It should be noted that their union is considered a little ridiculous in the books as well but at least now it won't be completely unreasonable on the show either.
-
I didnt know that Dormer gal is in MJ makes me anticipate MJ even less
How can you hate Dormer?!? She is the best woman on the show, hands down! But yeah Mockingjay is probably going to suck regardless because that book was awful compared to THG, and CF.

Jaime is great though I wish the confrontation scene was closer to the books. Jaime should be searching for honor and redemption not cersei
Yeah I feel like they have messed up his arc somewhat on the show (he didn't kill his cousin in cold blood for instance) but overall I think the writers will eventually give his character evolution its due justice.
-
Jamie didn't become one of my favorite characters until season 3.
Yeah but I thought Lady Daenerys had read the books, in which case I would think that she would love him even more than viewers that are caught up to season 4.

Finally watching the battle scene(really good choreography) of episode best fireworks display I've seen woohooHolding off temptation of watching the premiere ha haTyrion is the only lannister I'll ever suffer , the rest can and will burn in seven hells
S2e9 is probably my all-time favorite episode and Tyrion is awesome but c'mon Jaime is a great Lannister too!

Lol Frozen better win!
Yeah no other Disney classics like The Lion King or Aladdin to get in the way since it's all post-Renaissance. The only other serious competition for my 1 spot would be The Fellowship of the Ring.

Yeah, what Rysu said It was a little peculiar to me that someone would invest so much time in something they weren't really connected to although hearing your explanation now makes a lot of sense too. But yeah no maliciousness was intended just a curious inquiry, and sorry about your work, I imagine letting people go is never a fun way to spend a day

I dont question why adults watch a toon 10 tmes in a week or buy dolls. Thats their thing. Im about the numbers, keeps my mind sharp, my thing.. if you "get the statistical outlier-type deal" then why ask in the first place, then assume there should be a passion about the underlying subject. Dude. Rooting for something fail is just a waste of time and energy. Be constructive.
Well I wouldn't be tracking numbers for a movie I was rooting against more of a general reaction like "Oh that new Transformers movie just made $1Billion, that kind of sucks". But again to each his own, and I had appreciated your input on these Frozen threads, I just happen to personally care more about the movie itself than the results (not that I'm not loving this phenomenal run).
-
Ithats your unqualified idiotic opinion. thats what you need for you. We're not all like you and thank god.. Rooting against things you dont like, probably because your too infantile to understand them. Your obviosly too egocentric in not comprehending another's reason for their passion. Remember this is a "box office" forum not a groupie forum. Its about the numbers. Doesnt matter what the subject is. Go wait in line for a sold out doll and stop bothering people.
Listen I honestly meant no offense and was certainly not attempting to "bother" you, I was merely trying to pick your brain on the issue and presented my own personal motivations but instead of responding to my post you go on a tirade and insult me. Okay then...

Frozen is an unstoppable wintry force of musical wonder! If it beats IM3 I am going to be over the moon and will have to salute mfantin's and Boxx93's bold predictions although I shall refrain from from eating my hat and changing my Avatar because unlike Omni I held my "reasonable" predictions pretty close to the vest
