  1. I enjoy tracking BO. I dont watch cartoons. Lol. Seriously. When I was 12, the target audience for star wars in 77, I fell asleep in the theater, havent watched another since

Dude I enjoy following Frozen's BO run, but if you didn't like or haven't seen the film then what's the point? I mean I get the whole fascination over a statistical outlier-type deal but still at certain point I feel that the passion for the movie itself has to be there too. I personally would be likely be actively rooting against a movie's financial success if I thought that it didn't deserve it.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong.  They'll go 7-8 seasons and wait for the final book.  When the final book is released they'll make a 2-hour film to wrap things up.  Is that right?

Or, will the series finish the story no matter how the books turn out?

I think Martin has said he would like a feature film, but he also wants 10 seasons so he can take his time writing haha. HBO hasn't ruled out a prequel movie or something but since Dan Weis and David Benioff have already discussed at length with George about what happens in A Dream of Spring they will probably just finish it before him which would be unfortunate but I guess I understand. They already aged the child characters in the cast and the actors are quickly becoming adults. You don't want a 20 year old guy as Bran who is 8 years old in the books and Emilia Clarke is already twice as old as Daenerys is supposed to be.

  3. Nooo, they need to pad Seasons 5 and 6 with something until Winds of Winter comes out. To be honest though, it would probably be for the better if they trim down the Greyjoy subplot as their POV chapters are usually the dullest in the books. :P

But Martells should be fleshed out. The followup to the Myrcella plotline should've been in S4.

I don't think they're going to wait that long for Martin. The showrunners have already said that they are going to finish the whole series in 8 seasons max, maybe only 7 so I doubt they'll take ADWD past season 5 or the early part of season 6. If tWoW isn't done by then we readers and GRRM are going to be out of luck  :(

  4. Frozen seems to be tailor made for Japanese audiences with its two strong female protagonists. One is the the cute, plucky and adventurous type. The other is the reserved, beautiful, and super powered type. Both types are pretty popular in Japanese anime. :D

That and the character animation itself is somewhat anime-like. The characteristic large eyes and all around aesthetically-pleasing female features of Anna and Elsa surely helped contribute to the film's initial exposure. Of course those are only surface-level components but it couldn't have hurt in the attempt to draw Japanese crowds in.

  5. Well I support dany coz she's badass and mother of dragons but she also has the weight of her family name ( the good and bad ) hovering over her head she's got a lot of figuring out to do so I sympathise !Anyhoo enjoy season premiere you lucky basterds , valar morghulis my friends , I'm watching s02e02 now

Oh I don't blindly hate Targaryens by any means although The Mad King (especially) and even Daenerys to some degree have their issues. It seems like Rhaegar was a boss though and (Spoiler for Book Five)

Aegon is actually my number one candidate for the throne

  6. Where did you watched it?And for those who read books. What are your main big events, that you're looking up for most?**I had a fever, so this sentence makes complete grammar sense for me, but I know it's not. :P

Well I am psyched to see Prince Oberyn this season as well how the shows handles certain deviations from the text. For example I feel like certain interactions between Jaime and his family could be very different from how they played out in the book since he has returned before certain events that take place episode 2  ;)

  7. That wasn't a close choice for me.

That's not entirely surprising. Frozen has a large, passionate fanbase but it is not without its sect of detractors. Whereas TLK seems to be universally beloved (I think nostalgia may also give it the edge for a lot of people as well although it fully deserves the praise on its own merit imo). Perhaps Frozen will one day bridge that gap and be widely remembered as a true Disney classic but only time will tell.

  8. Frozen vs. TLK is going to go right down to the wire.

What happens if any match ups end in a tie?

I still can't come to terms with my choice :( If I had seen TLK more recently I would probably lean that way but I've got Frozen on my mind. Sucks that one is going down in only round 2!

Maybe if it just ends in a tie we can save them and the other closest matchup and switch them for next round.

  9. I thought it was a very solid addition to the Marvel franchise, much more complete and (slightly) more realistic than the first one. The action sequences with Cap are just cooler than say the Hulk or Iron Man because even though he's genetically enhanced he's not vastly overpowered and for the most part facing humans. The Winter Soldier was badass as well with a few great scene-stealing moments. I wish they had left director Fury as being killed off though. I know it's too much to ask for a truely major character death like Rogers or even Black Widow but I want to feel a least a little concerned for their safety when I watch a Marvel movie. Maybe I've just been watching too much Game of Thrones but it's much more exciting to me when you know that there's the possibility someone pretty important could die.

Anyway, I would definitely rank this as the best so far in Marvel's Phase 2 and it got me super pumped for the Avengers to reassemble ! Grade: B
