Every showing sold out today and tomorrow at my theater - wow! 7:30 showing was totally sold out, folks sitting on the steps!
NO SPOILERS OF ANY KIND EXCEL...BE CAREFUL PLEASE.....(BAUMER) Haters, SHUT IT - there was NO CLAPPING in any theater for green lantern or IRON MAN 2...BVS is pretty fucking good.

The hype was building for four years throughout phase one. It wasn't your typical event film.
That's a pretty damn good number. A bit inflated thanks to the hour early start, sure, but it is very good that it's doing Ultron type numbers anyway. 160M+ locked, I'd say.
TDK and A1 are close but TDK has edge. TDKR was most hyped film since Episode 1. People went fucking bananas in the build up to that.

In what is probably the most encouraging sign yet, BVS added 71,000 tweets in the final hour today, and they were positive enough to boost the days positive-negative ratio from 3-1 to 6-1.
The VAST majority of BVS tweets after 1 A.M. EST were positive.
The 437,000 tweet total for Thursday is just staggeringly large and 2x as big as Jurassic World.

What did you miss in those movies? Batman does NOTHING in BVS we did not see in Nolan's films in terms of killing.
