The Box Office Buzz and Tracking Thread (December 2021 - July 2023)

The Lost City Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-18 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 55 100 12340 0.81% Total Seats Sold Today: 15 Comp 0.411x of Scream T-18 (1.44M) 0.602x of Uncharted T-18 (2.23M) This was when Uncharted officially had its tickets on sale, so this is why there's such a huge drop from the previous day and should not be indicative of anything wrong with Lost City's current run. Decided to also throw Scream into here since I think there's enough of a demographic crossover and horror films are largely backloaded in their ticket runs. -
I mean I'm sure WB has insider info on what Disney/Avatar is doing. And at this rate, every public press material is making it certain that Avatar 2, indeed, is coming out this year. Warner has no excuse. I'm still confused why not one studio has jumped onto the Labor Day weekend yet. Shang-Chi proved an exciting film can work at that time, so why not do it already? It's dumb. It's weird.

The Lost City Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-20 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 55 79 12340 0.64% Total Seats Sold Today: 27 Comp 1.013x of Uncharted T-20 (3.75M) This was still Uncharted's soft launch before it was in the "Tickets Now Available" phase of marketing, so do take this with an extreme grain of salt.
