  1. That one's definitely something I'm seeing, especially since it's on Netflix.
  2. Seeing a bunch of Spike Lee joints before BlacKkKlansman. She's Gotta Have It's pretty cool. Acting's a touch iffy, but the characters are so much fun, and the theming and cinematography are superb. Nola Darling is an icon and I love her.
  3. Also of note, while looking to see whether Nut Job 2 had any Marvel heroes (it kinda does, if you count Bobby Cannavale), I didn't know until now that Jeff Dunham, the racist puppet guy, was a cast member in the Nut Job movies. Learn something new every day I guess.
  4. Idris Elba, Halle Berry, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Brie Larson, Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sebastian Stan all play Marvel heroes and appeared in an August 2017 movie, so yeah, there was plenty of representation.
  5. The one thing that gets to me is that they state that Moviepass will be available for "many studio first run films." The key word here being many basically says that they will still probably black out bigly movies.
  6. Eh, seeing a gay black furry school a bunch of people and be the Dragon Ball FighterZ world champion is pretty enlightening.
  7. @That One Guy For curiosity's sake, why did you go see Teen Titans Go! twice?
  8. That seems to be the case. On Deadline's article, PostTrak stated that the audience was 55% general adults, 30% kids, and 15% parents. Guess Winnie the Pooh just isn't popular with today's youth.
  9. Ehh fuck it I'm bored. September predictions (I'm ignoring the Christian/Pure Flix shit and Fahrenheit 11/9)! Night School: 120M The Nun: 95M Smallfoot: 85M The Predator: 80M The House with the Long-Ass Name: 80M A Simple Favor: 70M Life Itself: 40M Hell Fest: 30M Peppermint: 30M White Boy Rick: 25M Jeez, next month's gonna be dull.
  10. Doesn't seem like a whole lot. Trailer views (I know) are 1.5M for the first trailer, 2.2M for the second, although being a family movie, it's not supposed to have major views. I do think the $24M seems accurate though. Goosebumps opened around there IIRC.
  11. How To Train Your Dragon. Although that was based off a book, so if you go further down the list, Kung Fu Panda and Monsters vs. Aliens are above Quiet Place by a comfortable margin.
  12. The next one’s gonna be in the top 5 at worst domestically, probably top 3 unless Wonder Woman or Frozen see mega increases from their predecessors. So yeah, SW’s prestige or whatever the heck will be aight (inb4 weirdo SW haters derail the thread)
  13. Should also mention that even with Moviepass' issues, doesn't AMC's service also need a card as well? I could be wrong, but if I'm right, I'd assume there would be many people who signed up and are still waiting on their card.
  14. It's weird because it alternates and fluctuates throughout the day. I saw Won't You Be My Neighbor? today at around 2:15 (amazing movie btw go watch it), and before the show starts, the only thing at that theater that also had showtimes available were 3 Identical Strangers, Deadpool 2 (yes, it's still playing here for some reason), and The Spy Who Dumped Me. But then, when I got out of the theater at around 4, the rest of the showtimes for every other movie all appeared as if by magic...still can't see M:I or Christopher Robin tho. That's been happening consistently throughout the past couple of days.
  15. ...when did Dog Days move to Wednesday?
  16. One of my local Regals is having next Wednesday's preview. I don't have work on that day, so I might check it out.
  17. *insert not at all overdone "Disney hasn't cleared their critic checks yet" joke here*
  18. Christopher Robin 359 1977 18.16% Spy Who Dumped 44 1582 1.07% CR Comps: 492% of My Little Pony (43.7M) 101% of Coco (51.1M) 276% of Ferdinand (37M) 235% of Paddington 2 (25.8M) 106% of Peter Rabbit (26.5M) 348% of Sherlock Gnomes (37M) 472% of Show Dogs (28.4M) 14% of Incredibles 2 (25.7M) 94% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (41.6M) The Paddington and Peter Rabbit comps seem the most appropriate seeing as how all three movies are animated/live-action hybrids with cute CG animals, though I could see this reach the 30s. Spy Comps: 55% of Game Night (9.3M) 68% of Blockers (13.9M) 28% of Life of the Party (5M) 49% of Book Club (6.6M) 105% of Tag (15.6M) Yeesh. We aren't getting Darkest Minds and we thankfully aren't getting Death of a Nation.
