Still not sure why yesterday dropped so hard, but whatever.
  2. Jumanji: The Next Level Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-5 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 68 182 15,850 1.15% Total Shows Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 100 Total Seats Sold Today: 16 Comp 1.028x of Maleficent 5 days before release (2.36M) 0.140x of Frozen II (1.19M) Adjusted Comp 0.385x of Hobbs & Shaw (2.23M) The H&S comp dropping gives me pause, but it's still doing okay I guess. 3M+ previews still isn't out of the question IMO
  3. Doesn't look amazing, but I'm sure it'll be a fun enough theater experience. Liked the opening "From the People Who Brought You" gag
  4. That's about 14 people per theater considering the $5 tickets. At least its attendance is better than Jem probably
  5. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-13 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 2 168 10,360 31,446 32.95% Total Shows Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 112 Total Seats Sold Today: 84 Comp 5.447x of Once Upon’s final count (31.59M) 2.991x of It: Chapter Two (31.4M) 2.110x of Joker (28.06M) 14.864x of Maleficent (34.19M) 11.894x of Terminator (27.95M) 3.082x of Frozen II (26.2M) Adjusted Comp 0.911x of Lion King (20.96M) 4.326x of Hobbs & Shaw (25.09M) This was an awful day in Philly. Very odd too, since while there were declines in other areas here in this thread, it was not more than half from yesterday. Hopefully this is just a weird fluke and things improve tomorrow, Sunday, and so on.
  6. Jumanji: The Next Level Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-6 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 67 166 15,750 1.05% Total Shows Added Today: 6 Total Seats Added Today: 1,456 Total Seats Sold Today: 27 Comp 1.012x of Maleficent 6 days before release (2.33M) 0.136x of Frozen II (1.15M) Adjusted Comp 0.394x of Hobbs & Shaw (2.29M) I know there's doom and gloom here on Jumanji, and I'd argue things still aren't perfect, but this was a good day, and there were some clear gains here. Hoping the momentum continues.

  8. It’s the toy you get your kids when the store is all out of Lego. (Although ironically I haven’t seen Playmobil in stores in over a decade) I actually grew up with a set or two as a tyke.
  9. This is still one of my favorite reviews of all time: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/celebritology/post/the-oogieloves-in-the-big-balloon-adventure-yeah-i-saw-it/2012/09/05/783f5dbc-f78a-11e1-8b93-c4f4ab1c8d13_blog.html
  10. At the very least, I am happy it isn't lower than Oogieloves. I want that record to stay #1 from now until the end of time.

  12. Oh that's cute. You must realize that Mickey's Law plays mind tricks on people, and while they can give other studios success, they still don't give them all the success. Joker couldn't hit 100M in its OW? Mickey's Law at work. Wonder Woman did 400M DOM but not 1B WW? Mickey's Law. SLOP and Sing did more than Zootopia and Moana DOM but less WW? Mickey's Law. Do not be fooled by the Law's trickery.
  13. I'm too lazy to find a quote right now. But hey, you can still discuss away!
  14. I'm lazy and don't want to find a funny quote for this. You can still discuss the movie I guess.
  15. Trailer's tomorrow. At the very least Reynolds' YouTube channel is on point with the campaign so far.
