  1. Mission Impossible 6 - Fallout had an excellent first weekend of 36.25 crore nett and is a HIT film as the trend was also strong with good growth on Saturday and a solid Sunday performance. It should have some sort of hold on Monday which will ensure a minimum HIT status..

It could be that the film matches the business of the last Mission Impossible film in one week. Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation had grossed 55 crore nett in its lifetime and that could be surpassed in one week if Fallout holds well over the weekdays. Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom had grossed 37.50 crore nett but that was over a four day weekend.. The collections for MI6 - Fallout till date are as follows.

    Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx

    Saturday - 12,75,00,000 apprx

    Sunday - 14,25,00,000 apprx

    TOTAL - 36,25,00,000 apprx

Look at Cruise director list in those, Cruise brought a minimum level of quality and effort, audience like Cruise movies much more than Cruise (at least domestic audience) in the last 10 year's.

As for Pitt not being a box office draw, I mean come-on he was for a while up there has the possible biggest oversea.

A movie like Burn after reading did over 100m oversea !!

From 1994 to Fury in 2014, Pitt had 12 movies than made over 200m

How can someone look at this:

    http://www.the-numbers.com/person/730401-Brad-Pitt#tab=acting

And doubt if he was ever a draw in is prime ?

He is not what he used to be obviously, but from Interview with an vampire making 223m to the 486 million top 5 in the world Mr And Mrs Smith (and because of an huge opening weekend, not great movie having great legs stuff) and the 530 million WWZ he was obviously a huge box office draw worldwide.

Burn After Reading had George Clooney as well...so i suppose that would have increased the weight-age for the movie

  3. MI6 is the second biggest opener in Pakistan behind AIW. Pakistan seems to be another forte of Tom Cruise last year The Mummy inspite of diasastrous WoM had a very leggy run. It had released in pre eid season.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT REGISTERS MASSIVE FIRST DAY WITH EXCELLENT NUMBERS.

Mission Impossible wraps day one with superb numbers. Film has done exceedingly well as film takes one of the biggest openings of 2018. Numbers from Punjab were excellent as dubbed version in circuits has done phenomenal business. Few centers in circuits recorded day one better than even Sanju.

Film raked in 1.6cr approx on day one making it second biggest opening of 2018 for English films behind Avengers Infinity Wars. Film’s numbers are even better than Jurassic World which had Eid release. Film did have competition from Teefa In Trouble in plexes but yet film saw solid numbers.

Mission Impossible 6 - Fallout showed a huge jump on day two as collections went up by around 35-40% which is excellent for a film which opened well and on top is an action film. The film is looking set to emerge a HIT and could even be a big hit depending on what happens on the weekdays.

The film collected 12.75 crore nett on Saturday to take its two day total to 22 crore nett and the weekend will cross 35 crore nett for sure though growth maybe limited on Sunday which is the case for most Hollywood releases. The collections for MI6 - Fallout till date are as follows.

  6. Watched it again!

People were receptive this time. But there was this one fucking asshole sitting next to me who kept on giggling at regular intervals. I felt like smashing his face. Hate such people who ruin others experience.

Coming to the movie its as good as watching first time and it actually grew on me a bit. Liked it better than first time and i was on verge of giving the baton to Fallout for best MI.

Nice Sat increase for Fallout. Slightly behind MM, but it’s 5-day tally might edge the top spot. All depends on which film will have a better Sunday hold. The Cruise missile is looking at £6.5m opening.

Euro seems to have increased but in terms of dollars it will have $7.5m

  8. MI6 had amazing day at my place on saturday. Evening and night shows were full in all the plexes except for 2 where the occupancy was around 90%. Even single screens where english movies have lesser reach has recorded very good numbers.

IMAX was a sellout by noon for evening and night shows . 16/20 fulls morning shows recording 90% occupancy.

    Morng shows - 1/4 fulls

    Noon shows - 7/8 fulls

    Evening - 4/4 fulls

    Night - 4/4 fulls

Biggest screen in Hyderabad 650+ seater had 4/5 fulls. Morng show recording 80-90% occupancy rest of them fulls by pre sales.

IMAX in Chennai had amazing day as well 8/8 fulls by noon. Even today the bookings are very strong.

The best of the Mission Impossible movies.  Very pretty to look at, clean action, a solid B+ movie

The “BEST SINCE FURY ROAD” reactions definitely go expectations to high though.

Statement looks valid though. We haven't had a action (Not SH) movie which is as good as MI6 in recent times. Even Tom Cruise couldn't bring out the best in the form of Jack Reacher 2. There is dearth of action movies having amazing/believable action sequences like these and characterisation, plot, set pieces etc.

All these aspects gelled well for MI6 which in turn has made critics and audiences receptive in such a way that they use Fury Road as comparison to say how great it is.

  10. MI6 is having a good day right from morng shows. Morng shows are recording 80-90% occupancies while noon is touching 90+ as of now evening and Night have fantastic bookings.

IMax version has shown growth in terms of occupancies as morng shows are recording 80% noon 70-80% as of now evening and night shows having few seats left.

    Expecting 13/20 fulls in IMAX.

In Hyderabad which had worlds one of largest Imax theaters...... MI6 has 5 shows. Its a 650+ seater yesterday it had 3/5 fulls. Today im expecting 4/5 based on bookings.

On the other hand Chennai seems to be going bonkers...... crazy bookings for IMAX version already sold out for the day except few 8/8 fulls based on bookings.

Ok. Just got back from seeing it a second time and I can confirm it was better on the second viewing (see it in IMAX if you can). The action is A1, of course. But, there are a few things about this movie I absolutely hate:

      Reveal hidden contents

    So, my current ranking goes:

    Rogue Nation

    Ghost Protocol

     Fallout

    MI1

    MI3

    MI2

I agree with you on 2nd point in spoilers :D

  14. For me its Cruise all the way. From A few good men till now his weakest movies are The Mummy, JR:NGB in that order. Hes pretty much consistent compared to other actors in term of delivering quality movies.

Like others mentioned, i wanna see Cruise in a drama, comedy which has been a while. Hopefully after Top Gun 2 he continues making one or two MI movies and in between he does some offbeat stuff like these.
