Just got out of Solo and thought it was decent and fun enough. I think being a newer and more causal Star Wars fan helps in my enjoyment of the newer films.

When I clicked in this thread Darth Maul was the furthest thing from my mind. I’m having some mixed feelings. Now Vader, Palpatine, Snoke,etc. . Yes (even though they’d be pretty predictable). Curious to see how this plays out.

This. Ben, Bev, and Bill have the most essential roles and we’re going from McAvoy and Chastain to a guy best known for a CW show. I’m fine with Stan’s casting and Ransone but this one has me slightly disappointed. Like I said look wise is perfect. I just wish if they’re going on A list for Bev and Bill they’d be consistent with Ben.

While I’m glad they’re going with actors that look like the younger versions as well as some name talent. I just hope some of the more unknowns can hold their own with the bigger names.

I’d say the Vanessa and hopefully Peter scenes (who wouldn’t want him back) are canon. Origins place in the timeline was already fixed by DOFP.

Matt Damon is much easier to recognize the second time around. Plus it sucks to see the film with an audience that didn’t get more than half the jokes leaving you and one other person laughing most of the time.

Honestly there’s nothing to really piss off old time fans unless they’re just looking for things to gripe about.
