Each one looks like a ripoff of a better movie like Fatal Attraction and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. I think No Good Deed was the best even though it did have that ridiculous twist that help sell it. Even before those Sony/Screen Gems had The Roomate also known as Single White Female.
When the Bough Breaks has a No Good Deed, Obsessed, and The Perfect Guy type of run written all over it. Sony's hit somewhat of a gold mine with these movies.
I'm a huge Evil Dead fan and I didn't find it as sacrilege. The trailers definitely sold to me that it wasn't some generic cash grab remake or something that was an abomination to the original (Rob Zombie's Halloween). Plus I have it in my head cannon that it's actually a sequel.
Exactly, who wants to be the guy that brings their kid to an R rated movie. If it's light enough and you think they can handle it wait for home. My parents had no problems with me watching movies like T2 but rarely would they let me see an R rated movie at the theater. I mean there was a mom that stayed all of Sausage Party with her son who was probably 10-11. I felt awkward for the both of them.
The worst horror theatre experience I've had was with the first Conjuring. It was just me and a family with mom, dad and their two kids with their young daughter about 7-8 completely terrified and actually having to leave the movie. The son on the other hand seemed to enjoy it.
I'm more looking forward to returning shows like Screan Queens, AHS, TWD, Gotham, Arrowverse shows, A.O.S., Supernatural, and Last Man on Earth. Yes I know some of these aren't great shows but still. Plus back to the shows based on movies I'm hoping Frequency on The CW is decent enough although I'm not sure how they can make a whole show out of the premise.
The one I will never understand is the Geico Cavemen show. Like who seriously thought they had a hit on their hands with that idea. What's funny in a 30 second commercial probably won't be funny stretched out in a half hour show.
