I don't think it's fair to compare Independence Day to Scream. Sure both of the first movies were successes but they weren't anywhere close on the same level BO wise.
I actually had a dream a couple of weeks ago about Blair Witch having like a 30 something RT score (no idea why) and that was back when it was at a 100% right now it's at 40.
I remember when there were 50 million OW predictions for Scream 4. I never expected that but I at least figured it could get around 30 million. That's still one of my most disappointed runs.
Once that factor's gone you're going to have many critics comparing it to the original which is going to lead to some unfavorable reviews given the fact the original was so critically acclaimed. It might have been better off staying The Woods with no relation to Blair Witch.
Just seen an audience reaction tv spot. Why is this still a thing for every single horror movie ? Does it really make people go oh look how scared they look the movie must be so terrifying.
Early buzz had me so hyped but as more reviews come in it's wearing down. Still planning on seeing it and hoping it's at least decent given I love both You're Next and The Guest.
And Hulk is followed by Blade so I guess SYFY's doing their own Marvel marathon but since FX has the MCU, Spider-Man, and X-Men they're left with scraps.
