  2. Yes. It had 30 million OS total week and weekend.

Still will be making money in current markets for a while and markets still yet to open are:

    Thailand

    Indonesia

    Philippines

    Malaysia

    Norway

    Denmark

    Singapore

    Finland

    Sweden

    Greece

    Italy

    Germany

    China

Could make over 100 million just from those markets plus the money it will still make from current markets.

Still definitely has a shot at 450 OS and 800 million WW.

Huge success for an original animated film.

I think that Germany will be very big as well as Italy. :)

I would really like $500m OS but as for now $470m is a safe bet.

One of the biggest weekends, if not the biggest, of the year is here and just in time for Obon Week, too! If the Top 10 earns roughly what I'm projecting, this year's upcoming Obon Week could be the biggest of all-time.

The forecast above puts the Top 10 films above ¥3 billion (¥3.115 billion), which would make it the 8th Biggest Weekend of All-Time, and the biggest August Weekend on record. The Top 10 needs to beat ¥2.963 billion to break the Top 10 Biggest Weekends of All-Time.

*Fingers crossed* this all comes to fruition. After this weekend's openers, there isn't a wide opener until August 29th. Everyone wanted their film released before Obon Week this year.

Inside Out is still performing well.

    :)

  4. Many may find my comparison below stupid, but last year "The Lego Movie" was considered a success because it has gone well in the markets whose language was English, in other markets the performance was very weak, the budget is equivalent to of "The Little Prince", I'm sure the world except USA, Australia and UK, The Little Prince will outperform The Lego Movie.

    I hope so.

In France it opened higher than The Lego Movie.

  5. I don't have the french entries of second week, but i got all Paris's admissions.

    Le Petit Prince Paris admissions

    29/7  21 367 tickets

    30/7 12 521

    31/7 10 779

    1/8   11 560

    2/8   10 559

    3/8     7506

    4/8     9 764

    5/8     5 817 (- 72.78 %)

    6/8     5 017

I say anything without official sources !

    That's so bad.

    :(

It will be lucky to hit $100 million worldwide unless  foreign markets like the film...

  6. Final weekend estimate and the downwards trend continues :( :

    #1: Minions - 350k (-35%)

#2: Pixels - 240k, still better than Ant-Man last week but probably won't reach 1mil total.

    #3: MM XXL - 150k (-25%)

#4: Paper Towns - 90k (ok opening but seems very frontloaded)

    #5: Ant-Man - 85k (-40%, not good at all)

Terrible for Ant-Man

    Minions is as always fantastic!
