A comparison of Inside Out and Finding Nemo in Mexico, Russia, France, Argentina, Australia, South Korea, the UK, Japan and Spain at the same point in their runs shows that Inside Out is 12.8% behind Finding Nemo. Two weeks ago this was 0.9%.

A comparison of Inside Out and Up in Mexico, Russia, France, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, South Korea, the UK, Japan and Spain at the same point in their runs shows that Inside Out is leading by 8.8%. This was 16% two weeks ago.

Comparison is for dollar amounts not local currencies. Info for IO comes from various BO reports. Up and Nemo data is from BOM. It held well in the past few weeks and a nice push will be given by a group of medium/small markets in the next few weeks before Italy, Germany and China open later. A final ONA total above $450M is guaranteed and China can hopefully push it to $500M.

I'm surprised by France where it opened with just $5M and has made more than $25M.

    :)  :D

It will make a few more million till the end of it's run and reach 4M admissions.

That was not a good weekend for openers so let's move on to holdovers:

MI5 had a great drop but it's still not sure if it can catch MI4. Minions went up and should have crossed 6mil total by now, 7mil here we come! Pixels seems to have generated a little WOM but the PTA is still low. JW crossed 4mil total in week 10 and its dailies are head-to-head with Ant-Man (in week 4). Honig im Kopf is a hit with open air audiences, it sells out 1000-seaters like crazy.

Next weekend: Nothing big is released but "Der kleine Rabe Socke 2" might put a little dent in other family stuff - though I doubt it will hurt the Minions, it's targeted at much younger kids.

Very good drops for both Pixels and JW.

    :)

It's funny to see JW performing about on par with Ant-Man in its 10th week.

  4.

The Little Prince premiere Thursday (20/08), the expectation and anxiety are high, some cinemas networks are making a good promotion for the film (as sites below). I'm sure the film will have good numbers in Brazilian territory, the question is whether it will be able to cope with Tom Cruise and his Mission: Impossible.

I think it will beat MI.

    :D

  5.

The film debuted at number one in Poland.

I remember again the film "The Little Prince" is a French production, is not common to see non-US films debuting first in countries that are not the source.

Do not expect a blockbuster American box office for The Little Prince, but I'm very happy for the initiative of investors and French producers in trying to introduce the world to a new order, where other countries are also able to launch global reach of films.

It opened higher than Rouge Nation as well as many more american blockbusters(Guardians of the Galaxy,Captain America 2,TA2 etch).

    :D
