  1. ... That trailer made me cry. The animation looks stunning and by any chance do you know who's singing in the trailer? Her voice is so fluid and agile! Who's distributing the film and does it have a release date in the States yet? Definitely a front runner for Best Animated Feature just from the trailer. What is the critical reception in France thus far? Sorry for the many questions, the film is simply a masterpiece!

Salvation by Gabrielle Aplin if you mean the first  english trailer.

I don't live in France but based on what i've seen on Allocine and other sites its reception is mostly positive.

Paramount Vantage will handle US distribution.A release date will come soon.

    :)

  2. My body is ready to follow the Prince's run! I'm hoping it gets an American release! I read that it's budget was $80 million? That is insane for an animated feature made outside of the United States and even more appalling when you consider the amount of factors that can contribute to a weak performance!

    PS: I just ADORE Inside Out's french release title of Vice-Versa. <3 <3 <3

Of course it will since it even has an english trailer!

  3. This is a topic about the new French animated film which is based on one of the most popular books of all time!

It's budget is more than $80m an extremely high budget for a French movie but i think it will be a success.

    :)

Hello! I'm from Brazil and new here!

I wonder how the French are the expectations for the premiere on Wednesday (29/07) of the animation "The Little Prince", one of the most expensive films ever produced in Europe. I know the book is considered in France as the book of the twentieth century.

In Brazil the premiere is the 20th of August and the expectation, at least mine, is on high.

    Hugs!

I'm also excited and i'm sure it will be a huge hit  :)

I was thinking of creating an OS Thread about it but i suggest you do that.

  5. And the first weekend trend for Germany from insidekino.de:

    #1: Minions - 575k admissions (-25%)

#2: MMXL - 300k admissions (the first one had just a little more than 400k TOTAL so that's a strong number)

    #3/4: And-Man and Kartoffelsalat with 160k each

    #5: Unfriended - 120k (-35% - a little disappointing after last week's strong PTA)

    Terrible for Ant-Man.

Has Minions already beat despicable me 2 in admissions? :)

  6. Marvel Cinematic Universe OWs

    Iron Man:$6.9m

    The Incredible Hulk:$4.1m

    Iron Man 2:$9.3m

Thank you for making this because i'm a huge Pokemon fan :D

I mostly care about the games but i occasionally watch the anime.

Anyway i've heard that this pokemon movie is really good!

Do you think it can reach at least $22m

  8. Thanks man! I expect a lot of these are going to be way off for sure, but I am going to do another set I predictions come October and then a final one Jan 1. Hopefully we get a better look at some of these movies by then so we (I) can make more accurate predictions :)

    You're welcome.

Most 2016 films will start filming later this year so you can even more better predictions.

    :D

  9. Minions is going to pass $20m today!! It takes it 17 days to reach that magic number, 1 day more than FF7. It's the 6th movie to do $20m+ and I think $30m could happen for the first time in history because the winter holidays in the most populated areas of the country are starting today!!! Minions are making history in this market!!! Also Inside Out is doing fantastic and it will make it into the All Time Top Ten by Gross tomorrow or on Monday.

Very happy about both movies and i hope Minions will reach $30m to become the highest grossing film of all time!!!
