Wasn't she going to move to Canada?

The movie was complete and pure terror throughout. Every single scene had a sense of dread to it. It didn't need every single scene to be with the fucking witch.
Thought the film did a terrific job of immersing the viewer in the time and place. Great period detail.

emma stone could use a few extra pounds, but other than that the movie looks excellent.
Agreed. Sometimes she looks anorexic.

Zac Efron would fit perfectly
He'd have to tone down the steroid use a bit.

Her accent would take me out of the movie immediately.

Moonlight was never going to be a wide release performer. It's a coastal city play and that's it. Like Carol last year.
I hope it's better than Carol, which was just people making melodramatic faces at each other for two hours.

Normally movies get a big bump on Election Day, but this time around I think they won't get the normal bumps because the drama on TV might be must watch. The race can't be called till 8pm Pacific at the earliest. Going to make for some compelling television.
I'm guessing a few TV viewership records will be broken. Tuesday will be epic.
Not that I want her to, but Hillary will win NC or FL and that will wrap things up early, imo.
Trump's concession speech could be epic TV, though.

Roger Friedman bringing up old Gibson comments and is obviously trying to sink any momentum the film or Gibson is getting.

People seemed to have loved Madea coming out of the showing at my theater.
Same can't be said for Ouija. Lot's of grumbling, moaning and groaning.

After his recent run at the B.O. - very doubtful. He also did Into The Woods for $1m for a weeks worth so even 3 years ago he was willing to do a project for less.
Even if it was a budget issue, they could have easily got some top notch veteran actors probably for less. It looks like they're intentionally skewing toward the recently popular and young with some of these choices hoping it will bring in more audience.
Is Josh Gad popular?

What critic would dare give a bad review to a movie about a black gay guy?
That's the Academy Award winner. Moonlight is a 100% lock.
Nobody is out PC'ing that.

Show was almost sold out last night when I saw it.
Cut about 20 minutes of boardroom boredom and fix some of the awful CGI and you have something.
Loved hearing the Ifukube music and the nighttime attack was very well done.

You adored it?

I really like Steinfeld, but who's the audience for this?

Wow...
"But, you know, at some point I have to say it. You know, I was falsely accused. You know, I went to court. And I sat in trial. You know, I was vindicated. I was proven innocent. I was vindicated. And I feel terrible that this woman isn’t here. You know, I feel terrible that, you know, her family had to deal with that. But as I sit here, an apology is — no."

Tim Burton makes movies about misfits/outcasts/nonconformists, topics that critics usually love, but that's not good enough in this PC culture? Now there's some racial diversity quota he's not meeting? Give me a break.

I'm a simple man. I see Daisy Ridley's in a movie, I go to that movie.
Daisy Ridley is WAY out of her depth with that cast.
She isn't acting alongside goofs like emo Adam Driver and Boogeryega this time.

Because female audiences can't relate to fat actresses playing the leads in dramas, they must live vicariously through the hot actresses. Hollywood is just giving them what they want. Why couldn't Emily Blunt have put some weight on for the role?
She didn't have to turn into Melissa McCarthy but she could have made her appearance fit the character a little bit.

I just the read the Eastwood article. Loved it.
ESQ: Politically, you’re the Anti-Pussy party?
ScottE: That’s right. No candy-asses.
ClintE: Yeah, I’m anti–the pussy generation. Not to be confused with pussy.
Yeah, that most likely helped him with the target audience for the film.
I can't imagine many SJW college kids who have to run and hide in a safe space if a conservative speaker comes to campus (if they don't get that speaker's appearance cancelled) would have much interest in Sully.

I don't know. I buy J-Law liking Chris Pratt. I don't buy Chris Pratt liking J-Law. I don't know why.
The actual movie looks okay. Nothing special.
From what I've heard from someone who's been in contact with both of them, that's probably spot on.
Pratt is supposed to be a great guy. Very untypical in Hollywood.
JLaw is a completely different person from the nice girl who made Winter's Bone.

Hope the horror sites that championed this are happy.
They have zero credibility now.

I hate that actresses once they hit forty have to alter their appearance. I just read that Courtney Cox says she regrets getting work done
They don't HAVE to, they CHOOSE to.
And Zellweger just didn't try and look like a young version of herself, she changed her face almost completely. Of course, people were creeped out.
Then she says nothing was done, lol.
She can be a decent actress at times, but can also grate if onscreen too much. I remember when I saw Cinderella Man, the audience was really into the film and would groan/sigh when she would appear. One of her worst performances, imo.

Isn't that where the film would perform strongest anyhow?
I'm sure the LA and NY crowds will love it, but will Middle America want to watch emaciated Emma Stone singing?
