Remarkebly none of those movies were made by Marvel. But you tried though and I respect you for it

His point still stands though, both of you were talking about histories of both DC and Marvel , just because Marvel almost bankrupt and had to sell it's characters to a million different studios does not change the fact that those films are part of Marvel's history. Or you mean to say Marvel had no film what so ever prior to it's Disney phase?

you're answer has nothing to do with my post , water bottle questioned the relevance of another post for mentioning a movie  that isn't a part of the shared universe that's how my post works , but I do understand why you need to take it out of context

All I want to say is, I'm sad to see how all went bonkers just because a movie most were looking forward to got bad reviews.

It spawned a lot of misplaced hatred, and, as Yoda would say --

    tumblr_maze3xEDei1rc16xko1_500.gif

That was the fault of everyone involved , I have witnessed critics clearly mocking fans , throwing baits ,trashing a movie even before it was out. You know , even critics have immature people , there are immature Doctors , teachers ..ect  and that does not excuse what some fans did at all. But clearly, there are immature people on all sides.

Hate is always there , and some of it is always misplaced but there is always love too so all is okay :)

I beg to differ but half a year lurking at this forum and shh forum, I found that dc fan way bigger than marvel counterpart.

Lets do a vote to see how many ppl are dc or marvel fans. I bet u dc will outnumber marvel

Its just ga prefer marvel than dc that makes it look like marvel have bigger fanbase. But ga preference over marvel is deserved

I think you're misunderstanding my post , I don't care who has the bigger fan-base, it has nothing to do with the point I was trying to prove. I was saying DC fans are mostly respectable people with few immature fans that are loud and whiny ( which the case for most communities on the internet )

All I want to say on this subject is that I was actually hyped up for BvS about 1 month ago, looking very forward to it.

Then the movie came out and the reviews along with it. I was sad at first, I really wanted it to be good, I had my Thursday night ticket ready. And then some DC fans revealed their true colors, and others went along with it. And now it's a shitshow.

I will never consider myself a member of such an obnoxious and immature community... regardless of the quality of future DC movies (which I will enjoy if they're good).

    Sorry.

That being said, I hope Suicide Squad performs well, and is received well. That would be a win for everyone.

In each and every single community you will find immature people. I have been victim to Marvel fans slagging me just for stating my excitement for BvS as if it's forbidden. So , it's really unbecoming to describe the whole DC community and bash it like that. We have so many respectable members that way outnumber the immature section ( which is present in every single fan-base)

So let's not turn this into "bashing DC fans thread"

I was talking more from Superman saying "save my mother" instead which would've made a hell of a lot more sense than basically recreating the "did we just become best friends?" scene from Step Brothers.

You have a point , it would have sounded natural if Superman said " Save my mother " it's a much better line. But I guess Bruce does not know who he is or who is his mother so he threw her name instead since he was about to die. But they should have found a better way still.

    Reason why DC sucks

films suck outside of Nolan and Burton

    why so serious

    MARTHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Bat nipples

Only the anti cool crowd  "Critics do not understand this films. They never paid attention class about symbolism and meaning in films. "

    A Marvel copycat

    Reason why Marvel sucks

    Happy Go Lucky

    Weak villains

    weak story lines

It is this generation in thing along like reality TV shows, MTV

All the movies feel the same

    Started this shared universe bullshit

lol ! Nice one , I agree with almost everything except one point, "DC is Marvel copycat" , which is not true, because the way they started their shared universe is way different than Marvel in everything and if you meant that it copied the shared universe idea , well even that is not true since DC planed on doing a shared universe thing since 2006 but it didn't work out for a couple of reasons.

Marvel hasnt really gone out of their way to make a big deal out of SpiderMan - he was only shown in the last trailer. In terms of marketing Spider-man is being treated as a nice addition but the film is not being sold on the basis of "See Spider-Man and The Avenergs Onscreen for the FIRST TIME EVER!!!" which seems smart. The early word has been that Marvel know they have a solid film on their hands and so they probably dont want to gimmick up the marketing too much - particularly for a character whose sort of "on loan" to them/shared with another studio.

This movie has more characters than both of the avengers , and yes , it's the first time spiderman will join the MCU universe and the first time for black panther.Spiderman was the whole point of the second trailer too and the thing everyone talked about after the second trailer. Marvel could have kept Spiderman hidden till the movie but they used him in the second trailer for a reason and for marketing purposes. Not that it's a bad thing , I think it's very smart. I'm just baffled by people saying they didn't use spiderman to hype the movie.

  9. I am sure WB wanted at least a billion ( I think even a bit more but their lowest is a billion ) I think WB knew this movie was a risk , if it had been done right they would have launched their universe in a very smart way and then started doing solo movies that already got hype because of the success of the movie before it.

I think when they saw the movie they knew it will not please everyone but I don't think they expected that 29% score from the critics. I think their worst case scenario was a 60 something given how MOS performed.

I think what hurt this movie Box Office wise more than anything is that it's not kid friendly and that's not because it's dark, it's because of the many plots and dialogue. Kids like to watch action or humor and the real action in the movie starts like an hour and a half into it. I assure you that if this movie was kid friendly , it would have hit 1 billion so easily even with all the negativity and critics scores. All super hero movie benefit hugely from families going together to watch it a couple of times.

  10. you learn something new everyday ... for something as harmless as a movie you would think people would actually be civil .. I think it's too much to ask. It's funny that some people are even over the moon over it dropping as if they won the lottery or something.

Anyway , whatever WB will do I will respect their opinion. I loved the movie , some just liked it , some thought it's meh others obviously hated it with a passion .... it's a tough call for WB. I know many don't like Snyder's way (myself included , but this this the first Snyder film that I have truly loved ) but that doesn't mean I do not see how hard he works on those movie. Whatever the results the people behind this movie have worked hard and I hope things look for them in the future.

Forget about the comics. Bane is supposed to be a non-verbal grunt in the comics. The way Tom Hardy plays him, ranting about the corruption of the civilization, one may agree with some of the things he said, he could be an anti-hero of some sort, an airplane-jumping, tank-robbing blogger who gets off his ass and actually do something. Of course, his methods are way too extreme. Lex is a cool genius guy in the comic, but here Warner chooses an unambiguous take on the guy: He Is a Whiny, Pathetic Loser, not to be respected at all, not a cool mastermind villain.

Lex in this movie is manipulative , whiny?Don't think so, Pathetic?Still don't think so.

He has a God complex , which is true to his character, and he wasn't a coward even in this movie. If this exact script has been acted with more elegance, confidence and coolness it would have been a great take on Lex ( minus the going to jail from the first movie ) He was collecting Data on meta-humans , he already knows the identities of all the justice league.

    Didn't like both lex.

He is not supposed to be heroic, he is slimy, manipulative, coward. He is not depicted as a cool elegant master criminal like Hans Gruber or bad-ass militant villain like Bane whom the audience can enjoy or even admire. Eisenberg is supposed to be a nasal, pathetic loser with genius IQ, Hollywood's recent barrage of hate letter to the whole tech hype (drone, digital download, digital camera, surveillance etc) and also the arrogant Silicon Valley type.

What?Have you read the comics? Lex IS a cool genius type of villain and more times than one he was depicted more as an antihero too.He even join the Justice League after saving both Batman superman and the world. Lex is NOT a coward.

A part of me wishes Bryan Cranston had actually accepted the role (well, not really, he's better than this). As much of a fan of Eisenberg as I am, he's about as intimidating as Piglet from the Winnie the Pooh stories/cartoons.

I think Bryan is too old for the role .They need someone close to superman's age.It should have been someone like Loki ( Tom H ) but a bit more intimidating. Michael Rosenbaum from smallville would have been a much better choice, but I understand how they don't want people to mix the two world by bringing someone from the series to act the same role in the movie.

And when most of the others are people who actively disliked the movie, some even before seeing it. Makes you realize how reductive the comments in here have been and how insane I was for reading them all.

Dude , I loved the movie but that doesn't mean I will harass anyone who did not like it.It's all about taste, people have different tastes. Not everyone who just hates on this movie is hater. Just let it rest.Enjoy yourself :)

I've had a really great Saturday today. Finally , I have my dream DC comic movie and no one can take that away from me.I'm in love!

So now this is a movie that only the "toughest" can appreciate?

Sent from my Z667T using Tapatalk

No , I think this movie is not everyone's taste that's for sure. But it doesn't deserve 30%. Anyway it is what it is. To each his own. But I've never felt that a movie deserved more RT than this one. MOS could be a 60% but I was okay with the 50 something it got because frankly it lacked a lot specially in scrip and writing ( death of Jonathan was a joke ) but this one .... this one has blown my mind. If only some editing here and there and adding a little more dialogue for some things that needed more clearing ( it is there but it needed to be addressed ) this movie would have been perfect for me and I would have given a 10 but as it stands now I gave it an 8.5/10 and I can see critics giving it a 6 or 6.5 if they nitpick everything that's wrong but 30% .... I still cannot believe it.

  16. I have just seen the movie , oh boy , I was completely blown away. I did NOT like man of steel but I LOVED Batman V Superman. I cannot believe this has 30% on rotten tomatoes.

I give this movie 8.5/10 because of some problems that could have been handled ,the sad thing is that they could have handled with cutting some cameos , a dream squences and adding small scenes here and there to make the plot way stronger .... my god , I own Zack Snyder an apology, even though he screwed up with adding somethings in the middle of the plot , but my god! This is a million times better than man of steel , I cried two times in this movie..... it's really sad how this film is being trashed .... my whole family loved it.Even my mother and she has never been a super hero fan.

Afleck was GREAT ( the best batman to date ) , LOVED wonder woman ,LOVED Superman ( his struggles were real , he inspired HOPE ) , Jessie is the only one I have a problem with ,even though he's a great actor even though I LOVED his lines but his portrayal was riddler like, his shoulders were hunched his walk and body language were twitchy and nervous something Lex Luthor is not. The same script but with an actor that takes it more seriously with head held high and very confidant stance would have blown me away.

I have booked three more viewing CAN'T WAIT!

My prediction 162M , really hoping for more but that's what I predict.
