I don't know if anyone else pointed this out yet, but Billy Lynn has a lower PTA than Finding Dory. ($68 vs $218)

in my defense it was 6am and 5 day numbers confuse me

It could've had a sky beam, but didn't. Need I say more?
You could argue that the ships themselves are skybeams. It wouldn't be a good argument but it could be done.

Hey it made $8.5M in New Zealand.
It's also been on iTunes for months. No excuses. Support Waititi.

I saw this last night and I really loved it. While it didn't really do anything new, it was still an excellent film. Desmond's story is truly amazing and Mel Gibson did it justice. I really didn't expect to laugh as much as I did. The boot camp scenes had me, and the rest of the theater, cracking up. The war scenes were brutal and definitely showed the horror of war. Overall, it was a poignant story that I really appreciated.

I really loved it. An excellent adaption of the short story. Denis continues his hot streak, and I think it bodes well for Blade Runner 2. My only issue were some of Renner's lines being a bit cheesy but not enough to drag the movie down for me.

I've actually got the main theme stuck in my head from this one, which is pretty much a first for Marvel movies. Bravo Giacchino.

I really liked it, but admittedly I'm a blind fanboy who probably judges these movies too softly. I can definitely see why people have said it was weak in the story department, although I personally didn't find it to be an issue. The visuals were really, really cool, even in my 2D showing and all the actors worked well together. I especially loved the scene in the third act where Strange rolled back time. Rachel McAdams and Benedict Wong were criminally underused but other than that, it was a really solid blockbuster. I think Mordo has been set up excellently for future films, and I reckon he could definitely end up being one of Marvel's best villains to date. The score was great as well. For sure one of the best of the MCU (even if that's a low bar to clear).
B+
I'm re-watching it on Tuesday, in IMAX this time, so I suppose I will see how it holds up.
