- Strong saturday for HT3 but not huge, that's look normal because of ppl won't rush to cinemas when they have winter holidays starting on monday. That said an OW arround 400k adm. looks likely. (2.1-2.3M USD)
- Newcomers has better increase than holdover but all were affected by the upcoming holidays.
- The Incredibles 2 cracked the top 20 attended movies with plenty of winter holidays incoming.

*All other releases made a so so, but let's see in dailies if they go up. Holdover held and will hold very good except for AMTW which collapsed because of the screen loss but it will manage a steady fall in nex days.

@lor15 I use for dailies admissions chart ultracine.com (it had data of Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay too) then for comparissons I made my own data base. And for extra data as Screen count I use some webs related to Argentina Box Office, sadly I don't have any for revenue, so I make an easy calc based on cinemas tkt price avg.

Thursday 12th July WIDE RELEASES: previous winter holidays start in tho most busiest areas next monday, another trio of big releases hits theaters in one of the most divided weekends ever.

Fifth entry of the long running and succesfull local comedy franchise. This movie can make some noise, but it also has high chances to be a huge fail.

The third entry of the vampire family joins the cinemas to play very strong thanks to the winter holidays. This movie had a heavy marketing during the last month, maybe the most promoted movie of the year. So don't get surprised if this is a breakout. More having in mind that the second entry is the only animated to sell more than 1M in august (the worst month for family movies).

- JWFK hold very well even with the strong competition and still very close of JW, pacing 4% behind and with today holiday and probably better hold next weekend it should overtake it.
- The First Purge hada one of the most impressive OW of the year, one of the most impressive OW for the genre a powerfull 46% increase from the last entry in the franchis. With strong WOM, lack of competition in the genre and full holidays period incoming this will be a success for sure.
- Decent increase of AMTW (I expected a better increase tbh), a 15% from the previous entry and with plenty of winter holidays to have a powerfull multiplier.
- Re Loca had a very strong OW, and sure will enjoy strong legs despite the release of Bañeros 5 next weekend, I don't see it reaching 1M admissions but a x4-x5 multiplier is likely.
This is the first time I see 5 movies with more than 150k admissions in a same weekend but not the last, next weekend same may happend and also 6-8 movies could top 100k adm over the weekend.
Today is holiday so as I can see today numbers will be strong, so tomorrow I will post top 5 monday's numbers.

- The First Purge opened 57% above The Purge: Election Year (19.311 adm. OD) which was released in middle of the Winter Holidays and had a 135k OW.
- AMATW opened 14% below of Ant-Man (27.175 adm. OD /143.560 adm. OW) but that one was had the boost of being released in mid winter holidays, despite opening below I see it having a better Opening Weekend.
- Re Loca oepened almost on par with last year local successful comedy Mamá se Fue de Viaje (21.055 adm. OD) that had a huge OW of 181.686 adm.
- Despite the strong ODs for the three new releases, the weekend will be a lead by The Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

The fourth entry in the franchise hits theaters and as in US where every entry outsell the previous, and with the love for horror movies and the lack of new releases of the genre in the last months plus the winter holidays, this one may keep with that trend.
The Purge franchise in Argentina:

- The Purge 2 (2014) Total = 199.310 adm.
- The Purge: Eelection Year = 500.339 adm.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: 313 Screens (Incl. IMAX, 4D, XD and Premium formats).
In the maybe the best year ever for the CBM another MCU movie hits the theaters to enjoy the winter holidays, AMATW will enjoy the boost post AIW and will be looking to make some nois.

This weekend will be really amazing a fight between 5 movies to see who reigns, all will drop big numbers (I edge I2 as the winner) more having in mind that monday is holiday.

Monday was a day of milestones!
- The Incredibles 2 reached 2M admissions in it's 19 day of release, the 3rd of the year to acomplish that treshold.
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom reaced 1M admissions on it's 12 day of release becoming the 6th movie of the year that reach that mark.

The Incredibles 2 had an amazing hold but sadly it's 3rd wekend wasn't as big as FD's but it still pacing a 11% ahead and will face HT3 in 2 weeks (FD faced IA5 and Secret Life of Pets).-
- Sicario and new openers, as last weekend ones, make decent business but they had a soft impact in the BO.
- Next weekend movies will face strong competition, but the fact that Argentina's National soccer team is out of the WC will prevent steepers drops in the upcoming week, just before Winter Holidays.

Thursday 28th June Estimates:

- Good hold for JWFK almost on par with JW1 (-51%), so the trend is clear that it will fall a bit steeper than the first one (-40%) so a 44-48% fall is likely.
- I2 had a superb hold, despite that it fell behind Finding Dory for the first time in daily admissions, yet it still pacing 15.5% ahead of 2016's most attended movie.
- All new openers had a poor OD, but at least were better from Book Club OD, the last mentioned is enjoying daily increase and tiny falls thanks to it's WOM, it may sell more in it's second fram than it's first.
P.S.: On saturday 11:00 AM national soccer team will play, thanksfully it will play before noon, but it may affect the BO, so % fall could be steeper. If Argentina wins It will have more impact because more people will watch Uruguay vs. Portugal. Starting from this point WC will affect a bit more.

If we have in mind that this week had a National Strike on monday and National Soccer team match on World Cup on tuesday, it is a very solid drop. JW1 on it's 2nd weekend faced the release of Inside Out and had a strong hold falling just 40%, FK won't face any strong wide release I can't see it having a better hold but if it can manage to fall almost on par will be a huge succes having in mind that this movie will have the push of 9th July holiday and Winter Holidays.
- I2 had a strong wednesday and it outgrossed JWFK so I can see it beating it on the weekend on a face to face.
- And finally and with it's last strength Deadpool 2 reached the 1M milestone being just the 13th movie to achive that.

Is hard to predict what will happend today with the National Strike, if it pushes the BO it may happend today if it have a negative impact on the BO wednesday is more likely.
I want it to reach 1.030.000 admissions to acomplish the x3 multiplier, but is looking a bit hard to happend despite the lack of new big opener on next weekend.
