I mean. I feel either one of the horror CBM (New Mutants or Venom) will breakout and do $200M. I also feel like Into The Spiderverse can do $200M but looking at Clone Wars and Lego Batman has me cautious.
Still with the performances of Homecoming, Jumanji and Driver, all Sony needs to do is seriously retool their animation division (cause this year none went over $100M/$300M.) and hope to God their Spidey spinoffs are good and they should be fine.
Since I’m pretty sure Jumanji will take down NATM, will Sing be next ($270M domestic) and can it takes Sing’s record for highest grossing movie never to reach #1?
Both Ferdinand and The Star has no appeal towards though over 10. Moviepass had nothing to do with that or Coco.
The only animated films that’ll be hurt is the ones with no appeal outside of kids. Moviepass has nothing to do with it. If kids and the parents want to see it, they’ll see it.
