  1. I’m thinking anti trust laws will prevent this.
  2. I am against this deal (fuck monopolies not to mention they’ll be a shitton less diversity) but I think there is some anger at Disney purchasing Fox rather than if some other studio got it.
  3. The only positive I can think of is Family Guy being good again.
  4. From what I’ve gathered they’re three types of people who have feeling towards this deal. The Disney and Marvel fanatics love this for X-Men and F4 going back to Marvel and not giving a shit about the larger and more ominous implications. The people who don’t like this deal who think Disney is the antichrist even though it was inevitable Fox sold and odds are if Comcast or another studio got it the same fate may have happened. And then there’s the people whomst’ve are very mixed on this deal. Me, imma shitpost.
  5. Simple. Comcast buys Paramount and WB buys Sony.
  6. Jokes help at such dark time. Thank you for your service.
  7. But it also could mean no New Mutants, no Deadpool, no more Logan(s), no Gambit and no Multiple Men.
  8. I hope Disney finds a use for Kingsman, Apes, Alien and Predator without having to dilute them. It’s a shame Fox is done with the X-Men franchise, they were doing something different with the superhero genre. On one hand this’ll prevent superhero fatigue but it also means less creativity.
  9. Yeah. I’m just hoping Searchlight and other fare from Fox non superhero wise survives. Pretty sure Blue Sky is getting sold or folded into DisneyToon.
  10. Disney officially bought Fox and Blue Sky wasn’t mentioned in the studios acquired.
  11. Combining with Disney are 21st Century Fox’s critically acclaimed film production businesses, including Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Fox 2000, which together offer diverse and compelling storytelling businesses and are the homes of Avatar, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool, as well as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hidden Figures, Gone Girl, The Shape of Water and The Martian—and its storied television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions and Fox21, which have brought The Americans, This Is Us, Modern Family, The Simpsons and so many more hit TV series to viewers across the globe. Disney will also acquire FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Sports Regional Networks, Fox Networks Group International, Star India and Fox’s interests in Hulu, Sky plc, Tata Sky and Endemol Shine Group. Highly possible it is just press release talk.

  13. If they can pull it off, Shazam can be the DCEU’s Spider-Man.
  14. Pretty much. Over the weekend, The only movies not named Ferdinand or Jedi that have more than 3 showings is Coco, Wonder and Lady Bird. Luckily the three mentioned all have 5+ showings
