I’m very confused at people thinking this looks worse than 2019 movie?
People complained 2019 movie was too hyper realistic, they fixed that to extent here
this looks a lot better visually and lively
Yeah I've only seen bits and pieces on television of 2019; This looks a bit more lively, and being a new story makes me more lenient.

I'm somewhat expecting Sonic 3 to end up pivoting to next year if Paramount doesn't start promoting it in time for IF tbh. The kind of movie that makes the same amount of money at any time of the year and next spring is looking a bit on the light side, they should go for Easter weekend (April 18 next year) as a non-controversial piece of counterprogramming to the total wild card that is Michael.
I still think it's so odd that's in December. I get the logic behind it but Dec is looking crowded. if next April is free, the first week or so like for 2/SMB...

Hm! Not bad. Also don't care if they're not biological brothers, blood relations =/= family.
Does it take away a bit of potency from THAT scene? Maybe.

Ohhh okay that may work better for me.

I liked it. Solid 3.5/5. I didn't fully buy Zendaya as a mom in her 30s. I bought her more when she was playing a teen.
I didn't even buy her as a femme fatale in the trailers, you're telling me she's supposed to be in her 30s AND someone's mother on top of that?
Oh wow.
I'm more curious to see this to see if it would have worked just as well as "young people in a jealous triangle with the woman out bc of an injury".

The more I read about this from people who know the cultural references the more I think the kind of rapid first 25 or so minutes does it a disservice because you're just a little too worn out to gather all of the information before you can make the connections because they're very smart and I'm impressed at how it ties together.
But it's already on PVOD so I can watch
the training montagethe movie again. -
A new movie from the director of My Life As A Zucchini?? Yes.
No showing for Sirocco and the Kingdom of The Winds huh

We're getting back into "Ok I don't know these people" realm for me.....and then I realized I never saw Episode 1 where half the antagonists for E7 were mentioned.

We have 3 theaters and the Pixar re-releases were only playing at 1
They seem to have realized better and 2/3 are at least getting Phantom Menace next week.
also Iger is going to speak at....Canva Con or whatever they call it. Is that why every decent-looking asset is behind the premium paywall? They have to pay him to speak?

Thought about this at 2 AM this morning.
I'd say if you ask people who know more about Dreamworks movies outside of "I have a child", you'd get:
- Prince of Egypt
- Megamind
- maybe Kung Fu Panda
- Shrek 2
-
I should probably read the book before I watch it. Not that it'll be 1:1 accurate (Home, Dragons, Captain aren't), but out of curiosity.
Dreamworks probably could have made a competent Mistmantle movie.

I'm on the fence about going to see this, but I might enjoy it more than everyone who saw Ready or Not...because I haven't seen it.

Ungentlemanly Warfare felt like a worse version of Man From UNCLE (which was one of my favorites of 2015). Comparing the two really shows how much Ritchie has fallen, UNCLE felt like a more complete movie, maybe he needs to focus on one movie instead of releasing so many movies at once.
I hope this means he's running out of enthusiasm for making war movies, let alone making like 3 at a time.

I don't get it. Are these poster promoting re-releases?
They're just hopping on a meme trend for a new album release.

I think people don't know that the director Jeff Fowler worked on Sonic 06. He has seen how mad they can get.
Wait what.
Side note: why on earth have they not ported Unleashed to modern consoles/Steam.

I hope they use some of the music from the movie because I always liked this one (though I'm learning it wasn't made for the movie. So probs not)

Which one of you was this guy on Weakest Link who could name the box office results for every weekend since 2015.
He thought 'Fedora' was a country but other than that.

That's a Kea-no from me.
EDIT: There are celebrities that would make me say "Oh, the quality of this film might be higher than expected" if they were involved, but Keanu Reeves just isn't one of them. Like, sure, he was in Toy Story 4, but he was also in DC League of Super-Pets and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. This casting makes me more worried than excited.
I get it; For animated movies, it never feels like he's cast because he was the best option, but because "Oh boy wouldn't it be ironic if we got Keanu Reeves? Wouldn't that be funny? Wouldn't that be amusing to people online and maybe they would see this movie?"
They could have cast anyone to be Shadow if they were competent and still gotten that money.
I hope i'm proven wrong and this is actually an interesting animated-ish performance from him.

Pattinson would obviously never sign up for a movie like this and Christensen just feels like meme casting
Truthfully I think this is meme casting as well but if you can't meme cast in a Sonic movie of all things, what can you do?
-
I wonder if they'll have another teaser tomorrow with a bit more Shadow.
We can say it's too early, and hell maybe it is, but we thought they'd wait until June to announce Shadow's voice and here we are.
-
Hm, okay. I was still hoping for Robert Pattinson or Hayden Christensen but that's nice too.

The more I think about this and read other people's thoughts on it (aka: they saw the symbolism and weren't completely tired out by the rapid pacing in the beginning), the more I appreciate how it weaves Indian mythology together and has parallels in the modern day.
Really just says I should watch it again.

It needs a 5.78 multiplier from this weekend to reach it, but it is now down to the same range where Migration started regularly having 10-30% weekend drops and bounced around the $2-5M range for over a month. KFP4 has four whole weekends as the only major family movie option until IF and then Garfield open, so it could be close but it's still in the cards.
....I don't think I've ever seen a tv spot for MM but I'm not sure where it'd even play. To be fair, it's not aimed at me, person on a movie forum who is already a fan.

Scar is the bad guy in the original movie, I don't know if we can trust his viewpoint.
Hell, even if we could, I can see this story ending up as "It doesn't matter where you come from, but who you grow to be", as being nobility doesn't mean you're good, and being orphaned doesn't mean you're bad or something.
