Yeah, I think I was right in believing that Fox has no clue on how to market this movie. Five months and they mustered up that music selection. I think the trailer was meant to intrigue the casual movie goers who aren't aware of the franchise, and I think it's working for the most part based on responses I'm seeing from non-fans. However, it's totally not the vibe Fassbender and Kurzel have said they are going for, as you can see in the E3 footage and even the Kanye track felt it had gravitas and more of an edge to it.

I just took a look at the Facebook page and they only have 500k followers, not really good with the movie coming out soon. Twitter account has an abysmal 31k followers too. I'm seeing a lot of complaints on each post as well lol. A $200 million film too

I think it might be different. We know they've been to different events showing off a variety of footage (kino expo, showeb, and odenas is coming up). Kurzel implied in that games radar interview that they've cut multiple things for possible release, "they're looking good right now"

The one from Ontario Films was classified as Trailer B, not C. It also had a run time of 2 minutes listed for the trailer instead of 2.5

Why not? It's Adam Arkapaw from Macbeth, Snowtown, Animal Kingdom, True Detective, etc. The costume design as well looks marvelous. Maybe even Jed Kurzel's score

Doctor Strange releases here domestically early November and it's more than likely going to be attached there and possibly released a week in advance online. It obviously doesn't matter but it makes sense. I'm disputing it's poor marketing presence, not what we have with the given situation

A second trailer a month before its crowded release is terrible. A six month gap? That sure as hell didn't work for Beyond. There's no momentum behind this project that you see with other tent poles like Doctor Strange, Harry Potter, and Star Wars Rogue One. And its budget is on par with those movies or actually even higher. The movies you listed are also smaller movies and not even 20th Century Fox films.

I might have made the presumption you were aware that that was one of the screenwriters, if that's the case

He's more than likely a very good writer. He's been in the business for 20 years now and continues to get work

With those type of actors, I can see that praise being accurate but I won't be suckered in by it. I'm not sure why he even said anything lol got too excited about it

Taking what Bill said with a huge grain of salt since he was involved in small revisions with the script a long time ago. It sounds encouraging though. Yeah, I saw the Q&A, I'm thinking we get it this week, Wednesday or Thursday

I think a lot of modern day is getting fleshed out. She presides over Irons' character and than there's someone above Rampling that's in charge of all operations
