RT score is currently at 27%. It looks like it can be even worse than Batman v Superman...
Can we all just give Ben Affleck a break...?
-
It is a box-office-related video that will specifically feel cringe-worthy to the people here at BOT...What I can say is people ,even RLM , do make mistakes. So, forgive them.

From wiki:
On May 5, 2010, Saban Capital Group announced that it would start Saban Brands (SB), a successor company to Saban Entertainment dedicated to acquiring entertainment and consumer brands.[2] On May 12, 2010, it was announced that Saban Brands bought back the Power Rangers franchise from Disney for $43 million[18] and would produce a new nineteenth season of Power Rangers that began airing onNickelodeon on February 7, 2011, with the previous 700 episodes being rerun on Nicktoons.[3][19]
Power Rangers franchise for just $43 million !!!?? What a steal !!! This film can make 300 mil at least and 500 mil at best. Disney really dropped the ball there. In fact, a cinematic universe is promising. Lionsgate is gonna make big bucks.

Still waiting for the suicide squad's numbers to see if it can cross 325 million. Already gave up on it taking over BvS.

The budget is $110m which is pretty high for a gangster film but I guess WB must think it'll be successful awards wise and box office wise.
See it this way, I think Live by Night at worst will do Miss Peregrine's numbers ( which is also 110 mil budget). In that case, it won't make a big profit but it will at least be in the black and serve the purpose of keeping their golden boy Ben Affleck pleased.

OMG...at this point, a movie about the making of "birth of a nation" will be more interesting than "birth of a nation" itself. Given how Hollywood is working, years down the road, be prepared to see it at the theatre.

My friend just finished watching shutter island for the first time and is now messaging me "WTF! WHAT IS THIS! HOW- WHAT?"
Then, he will need the second pair of new pants after he finishes watching Inception

I took quite a while to think about the similarity between this thread and the video. May we all set aside the hatred and vitriol and enjoy what we have and appreciate the greatness of the two franchises. We don't need to make it a zero-sum game. May peace be upon us all. Even the girl in the pool knew that "This is supposed to be fun." And, by "fun", it is definitely not about pissing contests and shit-slinging.

Great hold for storks. Serviceable drop for Suicide Squad. Hopefully Storks can break even.

Warner Bros is really in a habit of making divisive movies. DCEU is already a great example. It would not surprise me if the lego batman movie is another divisive one. Be prepared for another meltdown at BOT.

December 2016 is looking overall well-rounded, in terms of quality and BO (except Collateral Beauty and Space Between Us)
Rogue One: $470 million
Sing: $260 million
La La Land: $175 million
Passengers: $160 Million
Fences: $110 million
Office Christmas Party: $60 million
A Monster Calls: $55 million
Gold: $50 million
Why Him?: $45 million
Collateral Beauty: $35 million
The Space Between Us: $25 million
LOL December 2016 is so packed that you even forget there is a 150mil+ movie called Assassin's Creed. This is literally the box office version of Colosseum. Dogs eat dogs. Son, you are in for a show.

Ironically, out of all her movies, this movie in which Evan Green does not get nude is probably the one that will probably tank the most.

For Storks, I have not seen it yet but I have read from the reviews that it seems to suffer from a chaotic plot and tonal inconsistencies and useless side characters. I wonder if Storks is another scapegoat in the holy place at Warner Bros- The Great Editing Room.

Storks is gonna end up like Pete's Dragon and both of them will probably be in the red. One of the few stinkers for WB this year.

Storks ' numbers are beyond disappointing. Hope the lego batman movie is fine. Otherwise, the whole Warner Animation Group can be disbanded altogether. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are just like Christopher Nolan. When they are directing, it is gold. When they are producing, they just don't seem to care and then things go south.

I would've never in a million years thought Marion was the kind of person who would use the term "haters" so casually but I'm glad to discover she does. #I'mwithhernomatterwhat
"Et pour finir, à la "presse", à tous les haters, trolls et consorts qui ont le jugement si rapide je vous souhaite sincèrement... un prompt rétablissement."
Actually, in the french version, she even put the quotation marks for the term "presse (as "press" in English)". She even used the terms "trolls" and the french word "consorts" which kind of means "guys" in a derogatory manner. Now, that was Talia al Ghul talking. LOL

Looking at that Sully expansion, Clint Eastwood is simply a legend.

I'm not sure what you mean. There's nothing new about DC films becoming lighter, they were saying that about Justice League even before BVS opened.
That was always the plan. They first wanted to show how an alien like Superman would be received realistically in the World and that brings a lot of weight to the story. But once Superman is accepted by humans and the story transitions to he teaming up and becoming friends with other heroes, you can only go lighter.
The new thing about this event yesterday was actually the Time Warner CEO confirming BVS and SS performed as they hoped financially, that they were successful in launching this franchise and that the next DC films have potential to improve.
In a big corporation, when B (the boss of A) tells A to make a picture lighter without pointing the extent to which the picture should be lighted as it is quite impossible to define, A will make the picture 50% lighter. Even though C (the boss of B ) knows that A is trying to make the picture lighter, he still has to say to the investors that the company is making the picture lighter so as to make a strong statement together with B & A and reassure the investors' confidence. But, sometimes, unfortunately, for some strange reason, from the remark of C, B will feel that C wants to make the picture even lighter as the standard of how a picture should be lighted is different for B & C. As a result, B orders A to make the picture even lighter. Like 70% lighter.
In a big corporation as large as Warner Bros, such miscommunication is likely to happen more often than not.
(Just so you know, I like BvS UE quite a lot thus I am extremely angry at the asinine decision of cutting 30 mins off it. That's why "I" was born in this forum.)

Summer 2017 is already packed like hell. It will be extremely difficult to erect The Dark Tower in this blockbuster-filled hot kitchen. I really wonder what the date will be.
