The great thing about the Wonder Woman film was that it was hopeful and it made me feel optimistic about the human race and our future. And if a Superhero film manages to make it's audience feel hopeful and optimistic, then that's a huge success. But while Wonder Woman is an empathetic, and compassionate Superhero. She's also a badass and a warrior, and will kill any evil-doer for the greater good, because she's an Amazon and basically a soldier. So it was not only a faithful depiction of Wonder Woman's character, it managed to find the right balance between it's levity and dark tone in the second half of the film. But that mostly has to do with Patty Jenkins as a filmmaker and storyteller. She not only understands the character of Wonder Woman, she knows how to make a film. It's pretty clear that WB spend more money marketing and promoting MOS, BVS, and Suicide Squad than what they spent on "Wonder Woman." But once "Wonder Woman" got rave reviews, they decided to go out for the marketing and promotion for "Wonder Woman", especially during the last two weeks of May, and right up to the release of the film in the first weekend of June. That's what I was pointing out, but apparently you didn't read the post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Great Gatsby and Fast 6. Trying to claim that "MOS" was dealing with tough competition, is a weak argument. Especially since World War Z and MU were not beloved films to begin with. It's different with the luke warm response that BVS got, in comparison to the beloved praise that Zootopia and Jungle Book managed to get. This is another thing that people don't realize. Is that "Zootopia" made more money domestically than "BVS", and it came out three weeks earlier in March of 2016. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I doubt that, considering that WB was burying "Wonder Woman" in the marketing department a month ago. I think the overwhelmingly positive reviews for "Wonder Woman" gave WB the extra push for them to go all out with it's marketing within the last 3 weeks. And I also think WB didn't want their marketing campaign to be trounced by the promotion for "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." So they waited for Marvel/Disney to release that film, so they could start pushing hard for "Wonder Woman." And the rave reviews from the critics created a perfect storm for WB's marketing team. Rottentomatoes really benefits Superhero films in many ways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, "Man of Steel" did have poor legs. It had the worse domestic drops for a superhero film, next to Ang Lee's The Hulk, and BVS. It did not have good word of mouth, and WB was firing people for predicting that MOS would become WB's highest grossing film at the worldwide box office. Big mistake. Even if "Infinity War" makes 1.4 billion dollars worldwide, that's still a good result for Marvel and Disney. I think it might make less domestically than "Age of Ultron", but could improve at the foreign box office. It might even make a billion in the foreign box office alone, and an extra 400 million dollars domestically could put it right at 1.4 billion worldwide. And the fourth film will be coming out a year later to recoup more money for it's budget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm so happy that "Wonder Woman" turned out to be a huge success. Once the critics started giving this film excellent reviews, Warner Brothers just went insane with the marketing leading up to the films release. And it turned out to be a great Superhero film, and easily the best DC film since "The Dark Knight." What a great weekend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love BB for being the first Batman film that was completely about Bruce Wayne becoming Batman. And it made Bruce such a compelling character, that I became a Batman fan again. But I agree, Logan is a far more interesting character as a whole, and Hugh Jackmen actually gave a great performance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
